The next morning Ethan followed a palace steward through long hallways decorated with murals of dragons mountains and ancient heroes. The steward said the king wanted Ethan to observe the city and report anything unusual. Ethan understood that this was a polite way of saying the palace did not know what to do with him. Still he accepted. He wanted to learn how this world worked. Outside the castle the city stretched wide with stone towers market stalls and floating lights that shifted color according to the time of day. Children chased small wind sprites and merchants sold enchanted trinkets on every corner. But Ethan noticed something more important than magic. He noticed patterns in movement the same kind of patterns he studied at parks. There was no system no controlled flow no directional guidance. People bumped into carts crowds collapsed into choke points and the city guards had to separate arguments every few minutes
He took notes on a piece of parchment and asked questions about traffic routes and crowd control. The steward did not understand most of his questions but politely attempted to answer. As they walked Ethan saw a group of fire mages practicing near a training field. They fired small fireballs into the sky. Children cheered. One fireball exploded too close to the ground causing everyone to jump away. The mage apologized and laughed saying accidents were common. Ethan stared in disbelief. In his world this kind of dangerous display would shut down an entire area. Here people acted like it was normal
They continued walking until they reached a cliff overlooking the wide plains. Wind rushed past them as Ethan studied the landscape. He imagined paths stages food stalls and ride locations. He did not know why his mind jumped to those images until the realization hit him like a wave. This world had magic as a raw resource but no one used it for entertainment in a safe structured way. Everything was chaotic spontaneous and often dangerous. What if someone created a controlled place to enjoy magic without the risk What if there was a place where dragons illusions and flying mana vehicles could be enjoyed the way people enjoyed coasters shows and rides back home
Ethan felt a chill run down his spine. He whispered the idea out loud not expecting anyone to hear. A magic theme park. The steward blinked unsure what Ethan meant. Ethan struggled to explain without using words like queue systems throughput or ride capacity. He described a place where people could enter enjoy magical experiences safely and pay money for those experiences. The steward’s eyes widened. He said the king had been searching for ways to improve the kingdom economy and attract foreign travelers. He asked if Ethan truly believed such a place could exist. Ethan said it could if magic could be regulated and if workers could be trained
The steward led Ethan back to the palace to meet the minister of commerce. The minister was skeptical. He said magic was too unstable to be used for entertainment. Ethan told him that unstable systems could be controlled with the right rules. The minister asked if Ethan had proof. Ethan asked if the royal archives had records of magic energy patterns. The minister nodded. Ethan spent the rest of the day studying scrolls showing mana waves and elemental fluctuations. They reminded him of engineering charts for ride acceleration and force distribution. He mapped the patterns and realized magic had rhythms. If magic had rhythms it could be predicted. If it could be predicted it could be used safely
At dinner the king asked Ethan to explain his findings. Ethan spoke simply. He said this world had enormous potential but no safety standards. He believed he could create the first safe magic attraction. The king leaned forward. He said that if Ethan could prove such a thing was possible he would fund a pilot project. Ethan felt his heart race. He said he wanted to test something small first. Maybe a short ride powered by controlled magic. The king asked what kind. Ethan looked out the window and saw a dragon flying over the towers. The answer came to him as naturally as breathing. A dragon powered ride. Something like a roller coaster but driven by the fire pulse of a drake. The room fell silent. Everyone stared at him as if he had suggested riding a lightning bolt
The king said such an idea was madness. Ethan said theme parks always began with ideas that seemed impossible until engineers made them real. He argued that dragons were dangerous because no one treated them like partners. In his world even wild forces like gravity were tamed by building safe coasters. With enough training a dragon could follow a pattern like a ride system. The king thought for a long moment then agreed to give Ethan a small team and one captured flame drake. Ethan felt excitement fill his chest. He was about to build the first magic ride in history
That night he could not sleep. He sat at his desk drawing rough plans for rails powered by mana stones with a dragon providing bursts of flame for speed. He imagined a mountain shaped loading area and safety zones where guests could wait. He imagined the thrill of racing through fire tunnels and the joy on people’s faces. The idea felt huge bold and risky but everything inside him told him it could be done. He closed his eyes and whispered the words that would shape his future. If this world had magic he would build something worthy of it. He would build a theme park unlike anything either world had ever seen
