Her skills were also much different than his, that's for sure. Nothing about combat or defensive skills were listed. The instinct skill appeared to work similar to appraisal but was more about the attitude of the object instead of listed characteristics from what he gathered. The perfect recall seemed useful if she could properly use it. The stress resistance skill reminded him of a small bunny running after being spooked. The green thumb was also a good skill and he assumed that she would make use of it sooner rather than later. For now it appeared that they might be able to benefit each other, their skills making up for what the other lacked, and she did not seem to want to harm him either. Turning his focus away from the box made it disappear and he refocused his attention to his survival partner.
She had finally gotten a good blaze going and was now going around the edge of the clearing picking up wood that had fallen from the treeline above and stacking it in a pile near the back wall of their campsite, leaving a small stack a bit away from the fire for quick use. She then followed the edge of the river back into the forest, coming back with her shirt full of various plants and berries in a makeshift basket. He watched as she approached, his eyebrow once again going up in a silent question when he saw her crouch in front of him and show him the goods she had brought back. She had a sheepish look on her face as she used one free hand to gesture at the plants, before she lifted it up to shrug, her body language reminding him that she had no clue if these were safe or not. It occurred to him that she might not be aware of the boxes he saw or that he was also not from this world.
Looking back at her haul he realized he could use his new skill for something useful. Taking a bright purple berry from her stack, he silently thought “Appraise” and was happy to realize he did not have to say the commands out loud. Looking at the new available box that appeared he was given some insight:
Object: Derry Berry
Characteristics: A healthy and tasty fruit found in the Mystic Woods. Ripe when a rich purple color.
Rarity: Common
Holding it back out to her, he nodded his head to indicate that it was safe to eat. A relieved smile briefly appeared on her face before it vanished, her haze returning to her lap while she grabbed a bright red fruit next and handed it to him while she picked all the Derry Berrys out of her shirt and set them aside on a flat piece of wood in what he guessed was a “safe” pile. He looked at the fruit she had handed him and once again appraised it, the window reading:
Object: Poison Evening Dew
Characteristics: A fruit that is safe to eat when in the early stages of growth (indicated by a bright red hue) and poisonous in the later stages (indicated by a dark red hue) found in the Mystic Woods. A bit bitter but healthy.
Rarity: Common
