Arcane Waste Engineer

Episode 1

Episode 1

Nov 18, 2025

I never planned to become the first waste engineer of a magic kingdom and I never imagined that the work I did on Earth sorting household waste or designing recycling systems would matter in a place where glowing spell dust floated in the air like drifting stars The day of the accident on Earth is still clear in my mind I was inspecting a new solid waste treatment line at a plant located near the harbor A small explosion happened inside the compactor The world spun and when I opened my eyes I stood in the middle of an old stone square surrounded by people in robes holding glowing staffs

The sky was a soft gold color as if someone mixed sunlight with magic ink Strange runes pulsed along the walls around me Dust shimmered on the wind like tiny sparks I tried to breathe slowly and make sense of it all but the next moment a huge bag of burning debris rolled toward me A guard shouted that the bag contained unstable magic residue and he asked if anyone knew how to handle it No one moved They looked scared and confused I stepped forward without thinking

I lifted the bag and the smell hit me like a wall It was like rotten lightning mixed with chemical smoke I pulled open the edge of the bag and saw glowing dust flickering with small lightning arcs It reminded me of volatile industrial ash I shouted for water but the guards only stared I then saw a bucket near the edge of the square and grabbed it but it was not filled with water It contained a glowing blue liquid that hummed softly I poured a little of it over the dust The sparks snapped and then went silent The dust turned into fine dull gray powder and stopped moving

Everyone froze as if they witnessed a miracle An older mage stepped forward and asked how I neutralized unstable spell dust It took me a moment to understand they truly had no method for it They dumped everything in giant pits outside the city hoping nature would handle it This was ridiculous The mage asked my name but I told him the truth I said I was a waste treatment specialist He misheard and declared to the crowd that I was a Waste Mage from another world They cheered as if a hero arrived

Two guards dragged me to a small office near the main gate The office smelled like scorched herbs and wet stone They handed me a stack of clay tablets that described the kingdom’s waste issues The tablets were filled with messy writing and sketchy runes I learned that the city produced massive amounts of magic contaminated trash left over from potions spells magical factories and monster hunts There were no sorting rules no safety measures no system at all They simply dumped it outside the gate until the pile grew so large that monsters mutated inside it

The mage council begged me for help They told me the city would drown in magic waste if nothing changed They wanted me to inspect the Giant Pile a mountain of glowing garbage I followed two guards through the market district Vendors sold enchanted pastries that floated in the air Spell paper crackled under sunlight The air smelled like herbs dust and random bursts of magic

After an hour we reached the outskirts I finally saw the Giant Pile My heart almost stopped It rose like a glowing volcano of junk Mixed monster parts broken enchanted tools leftover charms leaking liquid spell residue old rituals stones and even cursed toys Everything was piled together with no protection The surface bubbled with magic heat waves Dust popped like tiny fireworks It was the most dangerous thing I had ever seen

I walked closer and started taking notes using a simple wooden board I found on the ground The guards thought I was writing spells but I was simply making a basic list of problems A large wormlike creature crawled out from the upper layer and hissed at us The guards chopped it immediately They said this happened daily because magic waste created monsters I could not believe the lack of safety

That night I stayed in a small guest room provided by the council I laid on the bed staring at the stone ceiling The walls glowed faintly from runes carved long ago I thought of Earth I thought of the engineering teams recycling plants environmental policies and thousands of strict rules we followed And now I was alone in a world with burning pits of spell trash that could explode at any time I felt fear but also a strange sense of purpose The skills that barely impressed anyone on Earth could save an entire kingdom here

Before sleep took me I whispered to myself Tomorrow I start the first magic waste system in history I will bring order to chaos even if I must do it by hand The room pulsed softly with magical light as if the world itself listened

When a modern waste management specialist is pulled into a fantasy kingdom filled with magical residue and unstable enchanted trash, he becomes the first Arcane Waste Engineer in history. Armed with practical engineering logic and zero tolerance for unsafe disposal, he transforms a chaotic world of spell dust, monster remains, rogue magic crystals, and discarded cursed items into a structured system of magical recycling and safe waste treatment.
He introduces arcane sorting rules, enchanted recycling stations, mana powered incineration towers, and magical composting sites that turn monster organs and spell soaked debris into new resources.
But danger rises from every corner. Illegal workshops smuggle toxic magic waste into the black market. Old nobles spread fear about mana pollution to sabotage his reforms. The alchemists guild opposes his regulated system for handling monster corpses. And the people of the Old City protest his new incineration tower.
Caught between politics, fear, and arcane chaos, he must prove that safe disposal can shape a better future and that even magic needs proper engineering.
