Leafa says “Ah, rainbow flowers! These are only found on a few worlds, but they are common on those worlds. I can give you two thousand per flower. Although, I could give you more if you became a VIP member!”
“How does one become a VIP member?”
Leafa says “You simply have to entertain me for a couple of hours. I promise you won’t regret it!”
“Oh, I would absolutely regret it once my six wives found out!”
Leafa says “Six wives?! Oh my! If you can keep six wives happy then I am even more interested in making you a VIP member!”
“You are very sexy and it is a tempting offer, but I won’t cheat on my wives.”
Leafa says “This is Soul City, we wouldn’t be doing anything physically, so it wouldn’t really be cheating!”
“That kind of excuse would not fool my wives for a second. The answer is no.”
Leafa says “Alright, but just know that the offer is always open. So, are you going to sell them to me at two thousand each, or look elsewhere?”
“No, I will sell to you. I don’t want to meet Damona again if I can help it and that’s the only other shop I am familiar with. Although, if you have any of those bushes that help expand the soul palace, I will take them as part of the payment.”
Leafa says “I have five of them and will give them to you at a thousand a piece. So, the five bushes and thirty five thousand coins for your twenty flowers. Is it a deal?”
“It’s a deal.”
Leafa smiles at me, takes out the coins, and then gets me the five bushes from behind the counter. This involves a lot more bending over than I think should be necessary, but I am not going to complain. Just because I won’t cheat on my wives doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a view when it is freely offered.
When Leafa catches me staring, all she does is give me a suggestive smile that makes my pulse race. Despite nothing happening, I feel like I am going to need to confess all of this to my wives. I am fairly sure that they will just laugh at me over it, but better that than them getting mad at me.
Besides, when we discuss it, there is a very small chance that they will give me permission. If they do, I will definitely take up Leafa’s offer, she is damn near irresistible. However, the chances of that happening are rather slim, so it will just remain a fantasy.
Leafa says “Are you sure there isn’t anything else I can help you with?”
“No, thank you. I will probably be back once I have more plants for you.”
Leafa says “I will be here, eagerly awaiting your return and hoping you will become a VIP member!”
“That’s only going to happen if my wives give me permission, so don’t count on it happening anytime soon. However, if it does happen I will return right away.”
Leafa says “It’s good to know that I haven’t lost my touch, you are just strong willed! I look forward to your future visits and business!”
I quickly make my escape from her shop before Leafa can make things any harder on me. Once I am outside, I stop to take a few minutes to calm myself down and regain my cool. Considering I have two goddesses among my list of lovers, you would think I would be less affected by her.
She can’t match up to the goddesses in looks, but she somehow matches them in sex appeal. It must have something to do with her being a dryad, not that it makes her any less appealing. I think I will need to talk to my wives about her in the soulscape, that way I can show them what she looks like.
That is probably the only way they are going to understand and give me a chance to explain. That will have to wait until tomorrow night, for now I get moving and look for a market. Of course, there are a large number of markets spread around in any available space.
I wander through each one that I find, checking the prices for materials at each one. However, while I find plenty of materials, they are all more expensive than the ones I bought before. Even if I could find a matching price, I could only afford five sets of materials.
I am running out of time when I finally decide to give up on the markets and look for a store. As soon as the thought crosses my mind, dozens of stores light up with annoyingly bright signs. Remembering my lessons, I look for the brightest, most annoying sign, and head for that store.
When I enter it, unlike Leafa’s store, there are dozens of employees and even more customers. There are counters all around the store and they have cases full of materials, there are hundreds of them. Just as I am wondering how long it is going to take me to find the cheapest material a sign lights up.
The sign is over a counter that is tucked away in a corner, with no employee currently manning it. Still, my curiosity drives me over to take a look at the abandoned counter. It seems to be a discount counter and only has one material on it, but I can hardly believe the price.
The material is listed as only seven hundred and fifty coins each, meaning I can afford seventy-two. The downside is that each material only increases the soul palace by four inches. Still, with seventy-two of them, that means I can increase my soul palace by twenty-four feet.
That’s almost double my current size and is well worth the cost when I do the math. It takes a few minutes to get the attention of one of the employees and get them to come over. When I tell them what I want, the employee looks at me like I am insane.
They still process my request and happily take my fifty-four thousand soul coins. If I had found the market I was looking for, I would have only been able to afford five feet worth of materials. Once I have more coins, I am definitely coming back to this place to spend them.
Unfortunately, I feel like it is morning outside, I spent far too long wandering around lost. I leave the shop with my new materials and start trying to find a gate of the city. The city is as confusing as always and as usual I end up lost a few times before I find a gate.
However, as much as I want to be back when Mercy wakes up, I can’t just exit the hallway. Instead, I go into my soul palace and start using the materials to expand the palace. Once the expansion is done I move all the bushes, including the new ones, to the edge of the space.
