Watching Koko play hide and seek with the kids is absolutely hilarious and gives the kids a good workout. It is enough that I am tempted to arrange the same kind of thing out in the real world. Then again, out in the real world Koko would be able to hide from the kids much easier.

In the soulscape the kids actually have the advantage over her, they have had training. It is fairly easy for them to beat her hiding trick inside the soulscape, but that isn’t her only trick. It actually turns out to be really good training for Koko, she isn’t used to people being able to find her.

Once the kids and guests are worn out and have left, I spend some time with my wives. After that, I open a second soulscape to spend some time with the goddesses and fill them in on recent events. Once I end that soulscape, I head into the hallway and return to Soul City.

As usual, I get lost a few times on the way to Leafa’s shop, but I do manage to find it. I feel like I got here a bit faster than last time, but that could be my imagination. It is hard to keep track of time here, but I quickly put that aside as I see Leafa waiting for me.

Leafa says “Back so soon? I can’t say I am surprised. Your wives seemed like a highly motivated bunch.”

“Yeah, they can be. I am here to discuss the details of your offer. Although, before we begin I want to make sure you understand what you are getting yourself into. Do you like women? Because if not, we should end this here and now.”

Leafa says “Are you kidding?! My best friend is a succubus! She and I have been lovers for a long time. To be honest, I prefer women slightly more than men. The fact that you have collected so many beautiful wives is the main reason I am willing to do more than make you a VIP member.”

“Well, that is good to know. Honestly, I am against this arrangement because I already have doubts about the number of women I need to keep happy. If you are more interested in my wives than me, then I will feel a lot better about all of this.”

Leafa says “Honesty is good. In return, I will say that you alone could not keep me satisfied. That is why Damona needs to be part of this deal. Then we can at least keep each other satisfied.”

“Damona may not like the current situation on my world. We are soon going to be at war with multiple demon lords.”

Leafa says “That won’t bother her. It’s not like demons get along. In fact, she will probably be excited at the prospect. She has reached a point where sleeping with men is not enough to increase her power.”

“Well, I will need to discuss that with her in person and see what she says. That is the only part of the deal that I am worried about.”

Leafa says “Does that mean that you already have a tree for me?”

“Yes, we do. Didn’t my wives tell you about it?”

Leafa says “No, they didn’t. What kind of tree is it?”

“It is what the elves call a tree of life. Are you familiar with them?”

Leafa says “No, I’m not. Can you describe it?”

“It is a truly massive tree once fully grown. It has a purple trunk with silver leaves and it is somewhat sentient. I cut down the parent of the current tree, with its permission, to make a ship. That ship developed a spirit once I was done enchanting it. I am pretty sure you will need its permission to bond with it.”

Leafa says “No matter the tree, I would need its permission. All trees are alive and have a will. I have never heard of this type of tree, so I am excited to meet it!”

“Do you think it will meet your requirements?”

Leafa says “I can’t be sure just from a description, but it sounds promising.”

“Alright, then I guess I need to go talk to Damona.”

Leafa says “Sounds good. Do you remember the directions or do you want me to tell you again?”

“I think I remember them, but with as often as I get lost, maybe you should give them to me again.”

Leafa laughs and says “Don’t feel bad, everyone gets lost here. It takes some beings years before they manage to memorize a part of the city.”

“Do you have any idea why it was built this way?”

Leafa says “Nope, no one does. My favorite theory that I have heard is that it was made by the dreams of a mad god.”

“That would certainly explain why none of the streets ever go in a straight line.”

Leafa says “That’s not the worst part. What I hate is that all of the streets eventually dead end. There isn’t a single street that goes from one side of the city to the other. It’s really annoying!”

“Really?! I thought I just kept taking a wrong turn!”

Leafa says “Yes, really. At one point I went down every single street just to make sure I wasn’t going crazy.”

“Just how long have you been here?”

Leafa says “That’s as bad as asking my age and I am not going to answer you! In fact, I am going to pretend that you never asked the question!”

“Oh, right, sorry!”

Leafa says “I have been here a long time. As a dryad, as long as the tree I am bonded to doesn’t die, I am immortal. So, yes, I am much older than you. That is all I am ever going to say on the subject and you will not ask again. Understood?”

“Understood!”

Leafa says “Damona is even older than I am, so don’t bring it up with her!”

“Don’t worry, I won’t! Does she know that I am coming, or is this going to be a surprise for her?”

Leafa says “I sent her a quick message, so she knows you are coming. The rest of it is going to be a surprise for her, but a pleasant one.”

“Alright, I’d better get going.”

Leafa says “Have fun!”

Leafa has a huge grin on her face as I turn and leave her store, it makes me a little nervous. Following her directions, I get to Damona’s shop while only getting lost once on the way. I walk in and then freeze when I see Damona, I had forgotten how drop dead sexy she is.

Damona says “Well, well. If it isn’t the naughty dragon! I just barely got a message from Leafa and now here you are!”

“Nice to see you again, Damona. Wait, why are you calling me naughty?”

Damona says “Because you hid your ability to take on a humanoid form! We could have had a lot of fun!”

“I hid my ability specifically to help me resist the temptation.”

Damona says “Then why are you revealing it now?”

“Because the situation has changed. My wives want to summon Leafa to our world, but she has some conditions. One of them is that we would have to summon you as well.”
