Damona says “We have an agreement that neither of us would make a new contract without the other. So, you are here to see if I want to be summoned?”

“No. Leafa already said that you would be interested. I am more concerned with how you will react to the current situation on my world. I am not sure that summoning you would be a good idea.”

Damona says “What situation would that be?”

“My empire is soon going to be going to war with some demons.”

Damona says “And you are worried about what side I would be on?”

“Exactly. I haven’t had good relations with any demons to date. There would also be a good chance that you would have to interact with an angel or two.”

Damona says “What do you know about hell and how demons live?”

“Practically nothing.”

Damona says “Then do you know that I am physically here and not a soul like others?”

“Yes, I have heard that before.”

Damona says “I am an outcast, if I returned to hell I would be killed or enslaved. I have no loyalty or friendship with other demons. In fact, for me to reach the next rank and become a demon lord, I need to feed on other demons. Since I can’t return to hell, that has left me stuck at my current rank for a long time.”

“That is a fairly rotten situation, but how can I trust you?”

Damona says “Simple, we will put it into my summoning contract that I cannot betray you. If at any point I break the contract, I will be banished back here and lose my chance to grow stronger.”

“That sounds good. What about the angels?”

Damona says “I have never met any. It will depend on how they react to me. We are supposed to be natural enemies, but that isn’t always the case. It is entirely possible for me to get along with an angel, it will just depend on the angel.”

“Fair enough.”

Damona says “So, what conditions did Leafa ask for? Other than me also being summoned I mean.”

“She asked for a fitting tree and to become my mistress. At least, that is what my wives told me. They may have negotiated some additional terms without me.”

Damona says “Probably not. Leafa is very straightforward. I’m sure that is all she asked for, but there may have been something else she wanted.”

“Well, she did comment on how beautiful my wives are and how she was looking forward to spending time with them.”

Damona says “That sounds like her and it makes me look forward to meeting your wives. If Leafa likes them I am sure that I will as well. What terms did she ask for for me to be summoned?”

“Just that you also become my mistress. I am guessing that we are supposed to work out any additional terms.”

Damona says “Sex with you and your wives is enough to make me want to form a contract with you. The only other thing I would want would be permission to hunt the demons I need to increase my rank. What do you know about the demons that you will be facing?”

“I know that there are five demon lords. They have plenty of other demons under them, but I don’t know their ranks.”

Damona says “Five demon lords working together? That is strange, they must be more intelligent than normal.”

“There were other demon lords, the five formed an alliance to deal with them.”

Damona says “That makes a little more sense, but I would expect the alliance to fall apart as soon as the other demon lords were defeated. Maybe I can do something to help the alliance fall apart.”

“That would certainly help. I am fairly confident in taking a demon lord one on one, but not five on one.”

Damona says “I wouldn’t even be confident one on one. You must be stronger than you seem?!”

“I am not a true dragon yet, my being is still split. My soul is currently my weakest aspect. My physical and magical abilities are much stronger.”

Damona says “Oh, really? Then I can’t wait to be summoned and see what you are like in the flesh! I assume that my additional request isn’t going to be an issue?”

“Nope, not at all. I guess that means that I should head back to figure out the details with Leafa. I am away from home currently, so it will probably be my wives that will do the summoning. Will that be a problem?”

Damona says “No, not at all. If Leafa trusts them to make the contracts with us, then so do I.”

“Alright, I will go inform Leafa. Oh, can you be summoned into a soulscape?”

Damona says “Yes, I can, but like here, I will be there physically.”

“Wait, you can physically enter a soulscape?!”

Damona says “Yes. It is something unique to demons and we can only do so if invited. As you can imagine, that doesn’t happen very often.”

“Well, I’ve forced a few demons and shadow demons into a soulscape to defeat them, but I’ve never invited a demon before. My wives can’t come into Soul City yet, so they will use a soulscape to work out the details with you and Leafa.”

Damona says “Your world has both demons and shadow demons?! This is really going to be fun!”

“No shadow demons anymore, I already dealt with them.”

Damona says “Aw! I would love to eat a few shadow demons!”

“Well, if things go well I can always arrange a trip into the shadow plane for you?”

Damona says “No, that wouldn’t be a good idea. If I went into the shadow plane I would attract every shadow demon for hundreds of miles.”

“Actually, that could be fun! We will have to see how things go, I might just want to do that. I would like to get you up to a demon lord so that you can help me against the others.”

Damona says “That would be one plan, but I’d rather break up the alliance if possible. Facing five demon lords at once is not something I would want to try.”

“Me either, but I don’t tend to have good luck with things like that. So, I am going to plan for the worst and hope it doesn’t come to that.”

Damona says “That sounds wise. As long as facing all five together is a last resort. As I am, I could only keep one busy for a few minutes at most.”

“I feel like I could fight two, maybe three as I currently am, but I plan to get stronger before the final showdown.”

Damona says “I look forward to seeing how this is going to go. It has been a long time since I have been this excited! Are you sure you need to run off? I could use some help burning some of this extra energy!”

“Sorry, but as enticing as that offer is, I really am out of time. Don’t worry, we will be able to have some fun soon enough. That is the point of all this.”

Damona says “Alright, just something more to look forward to I guess.”

“Okay, I really have to go. We will talk again soon.”
