Even before his dawn, Vinter woke up and began to collect bags with things that he used as a bed, because of this noise, other boys who were not very happy but did not want to arrange a fight with one of the members of their order.
– A damn! You should at least wait a bit.
After freezing for a moment, and then suddenly turning around, he gave a cold look at the one who said those words, and before he had time to answer their conversation, a guy who almost didn't get to Vinter burst into their conversation.
– Don't pay attention to this jerk, he's just tired like all of us.
– I'm also tired and hungry, but Zertera and others are even worse than us, and if it's hard for them there, I can't even imagine what will happen to us.
– Vinter, don't make the atmosphere badger, and in general, if they send us, everything is not so bad there.
Hearing these words, Vinter laughed loudly, and all because his master asks for help only in two cases: the first - a fatal wound, the second - the death of his team. And neither the first nor the second he heard of Zertera.
– I said my opinion and decide yours.
– God, you're not your own for the second day, where is that cheerful Vinter that everyone knows?
Even without looking away from the boys, he shook his head and continued to pack his things and load his horse with them little by little. At the same time, his thoughts about the master and his situation did not leave his head because he himself could not imagine that such a thing could happen.
A few minutes after he got ready, the boys just finally woke up and also began to gather and squint at Vinter, who was driving them with his piercing gaze.
– Damn, we can't get together faster, so stop looking at us like that!
Throwing things on the horse One of them could not stand it and shouted at him, but Vinter did not care about those words because, immersed in his reflections, he did not control his gaze and although it looked like a deliberate action, it was pure coincidence.
“How I hope that you Zertera are all right, because without you, I will hardly reach my way, especially since I have not yet had time to repay you for that day. These idiots are slow as if they have Krint's legs, ha, but I think he will be faster than them"
“But when we get to you, master, I will not be far and will do everything to make my strength enough to help you in the future”
Having finished his reflection, he looked at everyone with misunderstanding because at that moment a few minutes passed as one of the guys shouted at him, and almost began to throw his things at him.
– Damn you're making fun of us Vinter!?
Spreading his arms to the sides and raising his shoulders up, he looked back again in the hope that someone would explain something to him, but unfortunately no one did, because none of them knew this feature of Vinter.
– What the hell happened that you were yelling at me?
– You're still a squirt and ask! Seriously.
– No more serious!
– Grrr no well he's definitely mocking us.
– Damn and I seriously don't understand what's going on and why the hell are you yelling at me.
He shook his head and looked in surprise at Vinter, who at that moment had a facial expression that was shouting "What the hell is going on", but he scolded and waved his hand towards Vinter, and continued to put things on his horse, and Vinter remained sitting on the ground with a stupid expression on his face.
– They shouted, they didn't explain anything, they were offended, well, seriously, do you have few problems that we will have today?
– Oh, shut up, and better get on the horse so as not to disturb us.
I was just sitting on the ground.
Lowering his hands on the ground, he began to climb, and after doing so, he went to his horse on which already hung 4 small bags with supplies for Zertera and his swords that were hanging on the saddle. After checking that everything was firmly secured, he climbed out and sit in the saddle and leaned over his horse to at least have a friendly conversation with him.
– Maybe at least you'll be a better interviewer than these.
At this, the horse only snorted and happily trampled on the spot, for which Vinter stroked him.
A few minutes after that, everyone was already riding and could leave, so without delay, they shouted in one voice for Vinter to be the first and lead them, but he didn't understand at all what they wanted so much, but spreading his hands, he agreed and without even having time to pull the leash, the horse moved from the place.
– Good horse!
Hearing this, he quickened and snorted happily. Thus, the group travelled for about 10 hours with short rest, and an hour before their destination, they already noticed the kingdom's military camps, then Vinter abruptly pulled the leash on himself and stopped the horse.
However, his partners only looked at him with surprise and laughed at his actions.
– Why the hell are you so calm! There is also the King's army.
That's why we're calm.
– Damn, Hilshes said that the crown is chasing us.
– Well, he is partly right, and partly not.
– It's a long time to explain, so I'll say briefly: The fangs of the order – that is, we are mercenaries of the crown, but at the same time we are a horror for the common people.
– As I was not clear, so it remained!
– Let's get to your master and ask why it's like this.
When they got closer to the camp, they immediately noticed dozens of bows pointed at them and one warrior who stood in the middle of the road holding his sword on his shoulder. Vinter was only strained by the arrows themselves because at least the wounds were healed, but the sensation was not.
– Who the damn! And what the hell did you forget on this road!?
He shouted in their direction with all his might, and the archers pulled the bowstring at the same moment and began to aim at their group. At the same time, the calmest guy in Vinter's opinion, named Jerviny, shouted back.
– We are cursed of Fangs! Those you are afraid of and despise!
Hearing this, Vinter quickly glanced at Jerviny and began to panic because he still did not understand what was going on and why it was the screaming and not the more sharp and combative members of the group.
– Ha-ha! I was warned about you freaks, but I didn't think you would come tonight!
The archers lowered their bows, and the warrior in turn lowered his sword and spread his arms as wide as he could. And Jervini only slightly squeezed his legs to make his horse move, and behind him and the rest except Vinter, who froze in place from this painting.
– Don't be stupid Vinter!
After shouting from one of the group, he caught up with them, and together they approached that warrior.
– Although we expected you, rules are rules, so show us.
As soon as he finished, everyone began to climb into the cashed with their hands for the signs that were given to them in the order, Vinter, although not immediately, but also climbed and, surprisingly for everyone, got it first, which the warrior laughed at.
– Ha-ha, well, this one will definitely live longer than you.
Because of these words, everyone squinted at Vinter, who immediately became amused and began to smile.
– In order not to stop you all at the entrance, those who have already got the signs can go to your camp which is at the very end.
Vinter put his right hand to his heart and bowed as much as possible while sitting in the saddle, and moved in the direction that the warrior had indicated.
****
In almost 30 minutes, he finally reached the camp, which was pointed to by the warrior at the entrance, but when he came closer, he noticed that the camp was in such a state that it was a miracle that it was still standing, and besides, not far from them there was a toilet that here sarcastically called the "Royal Throne"
“What the hell is this our camp! Maybe I was wrong, but he was definitely showing the very edge of the camp in this direction...”
Before he had time to finish his reflections, he was knocked to the ground with one movement of his hand in the armour.
– For the sake of all the saint, Vinter, what the hell are you doing here!
– Kheee, congratulations master... I'm here kheeee because of Hils... And maybe you'll get off me?
– Grr damn Hilshes! I told you not to send you here!
– Khee, why? Because I'm in favour of a weak read that...
– That's why Vinter, there's a damn Elf on our side! And I knew you wouldn't hold back and kill someone!
– But for the sake of dragons, someone will tell me what's going on here!?
Shouting this, he hit his hands on the ground and looked into the slit of the eyes on the helmets of the Zertera, behind which he noticed. Bright blue eyes that could barely hold back tears and many other emotions that they wanted to give away with their eyes.
– Close up and quickly climb on the ass and ... and run anywhere but not to the order!
– Why? You think I won't hold back and kill the damn Elf!
– You ... listen to your master and get out of here!
He tried to do what Zertera taught him and knock him down, but he only blocked the attack with a light movement of his hand and already wanted to hit Vinter back, but above them hung a figure in silver armour that shone from the sun with a silver colour as if they were shining on them not the sun but places.
And at the same moment, Vinter, who was lying on the ground under the onslaught of Zertera, had painful memories in which a creature in the same armour killed his father 2 years ago.
Because of this, the one who shouted forces, and by some miracle threw Zertera out of himself and already waved to hit the silver armour, but Zertera reacted faster and knocked out Vinter with a sharp blow, just before he came across the silver sword, which in a few seconds put out the silver armour.
– Ho-ho, and the rumours about you and the order were not an exaggeration, but this garbage seems superfluous here, so throw it somewhere, or I'll do it.
While he was speaking, he demonstratively turned his sword and patted Zertera on the shoulder, while Zertera himself began to tremble with fear and a strange feeling that was not disappearing.
– Oh, and I almost forgot to say that, today it's your turn to go in the front rows again.
Having finished, he again put his hand on Zertera's armour, after which, with his head held high, he moved somewhere in the centre of the camp. Only he disappeared behind the tents as Zertera breathed a sigh of relief, but it didn't last long because he had to put his stupid student somewhere.
Who almost made the greatest mistake in his life and the life of the order, and all because this whole camp was ruled by the one whom Vinter almost hit, and in terms of compatibility he was also the Elven prince, who, together with the Crown, united to usurp the territory of the Elves who did not obey the Elf King.
In fact, he killed the same Elves, those who were forcibly expelled from their own homes and those who were recognised as traitors of the Elven family.
****
While Zertera was thinking about what to do with Vinter, the Elven prince came to the main tent in the very centre of the camp and immediately began to ask about the situation.
– How far have we already advanced?
– Greetings, my prince! We are close to complete victory.
He laughed at him and took off his helmet, behind which the most beautiful face of all known creatures appeared, but behind this beauty was a sinister smile and brilliant gray eyes filled with anger, which a few decades ago were completely different.
– Oh, and please and send those dirty people of the order to storm, because these creatures ruined my mood on the way here.
– Your Royal Highness, should I kill them right now!?
– Haha why dirty the beautiful hands of the Elf with the blood of those scoundrels, if others can do it.
– As expected, you came up with a brilliant plan!
Although these words were pure flattery, the prince liked to hear such things from his people, and not even only from them.
– It is not for nothing that he chose me “He” and gave me this power.
Having finished there, the prince put on his helmet and went somewhere, and the one who was in the tent quickly ordered to send the men of the order to storm the last piece of uncontrolled land.
****
The moment the order was issued, Jerviny and the other members of the group drove up to the order's camp, and the first thing they saw was how Vinter was lying on the ground and Zertera was dropping the bags from the horse on which he arrived. Noticing that they came, Zertera immediately squinted at them.
– It's better to pretend that you can't see anything, of course, if you want to live until morning.
They abruptly got off the horses and turned their heads in different directions but not in the direction of Vinter.
A few minutes later, Zertera threw Vinter on his horse and was about to send him away, but an Elf approached them with a calm walk and informed them of the immediate assault at the first word.
– By order of his highness, you people of the order must immediately go to storm the Eining, and having in mind immediately, I literally say immediately, take it too.
Pointing his finger disdainfully at Vinter, he grimaced himself, not understanding why.
– Cure, but we just got back from the previous one, and the reinforcements were only from the road!
He spread his hands and smiled calmly, showing with his appearance that he absolutely did not care about them and their condition.
