The Edelweiss Family's special hero training was designed only for the direct bloodline of the Edelweiss Tribe. Those who were distant relatives could only learn the tribes basic sword technique. Any distant relative that learned more than the basics was stripped of their title of warrior and forbidden to touch a sword for the rest of their lives.
"Palma!" Graham cried. He was kneeling down while hugging Palma tightly.
"Come on, Father. I'll be fine." Palma reassured him. She patted her Father's back to comfort him.
"Make sure to train hard." Nepella demanded. She was standing behind Graham with Yona by her side.
"Seriously, Nepella! I know you're worried, too!" Graham shouted. He finally freed Palma from his grasp.
Nepella flinched and walked away quickly.
"W...Wait! Nepella?! Don't leave!" Graham pleaded. He chased after her.
"Please have a lovely time, Miss Palma." Yona said. She waved her hand and smiled.
Palma smiled back and turned to the entrance of the training grounds..
The village had a special training ground for the direct and indirect bloodlines. The training ground was large and open. It looked more like a giant colosseum but with fewer walls and a roof to keep the cold air out.
Palma entered the training ground.
"It's much larger on the inside than it looks on the outside." She thought.
While finding her way around the training grounds, Palma noticed the stares of the other students.
"Is that her?"
"Yeah, isn't she that girl?"
"The girl?"
"You mean the hero's daughter?"
Palma flinched. She glared at one of the students who was whispering.
The student looked away, frightened.
Palma clenched her fists.
She walked to the opposite side of the training ground. The students quickly scurried to the opposite side of the ground to avoid her.
Palma sighed heavily. She stood alone, waiting for her instructor to arrive.
