Aiden tried to save her from the attack, but it was too late, the dog had already tore open her neck, blood seeping into her clothes. She let out a yell of agony, then with her last breath, she was gone. Aiden rushed to her side, tears flowing as he pulled he lifeless body into a hug, her blood getting all over his arms and shirt. The dog had ran off after hearing her scream, no way Aiden could avenge her now. He pulled away from the hug and looked at her face, which was already going pale from lack of blood. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you, Amy. I shouldn't have let you come with us. Gosh, this is all my fault." "Don't say that Aiden, it wasn't -" "YES IT WAS SAM! Maybe if I didn't agree to this shit, Amy would still be here! But, NO! I just had to say yes to you! Maybe I should've walked away when I met you. Like everyone else does.". "Don't worry Sam, he doesn't actually mean that" said Madison, trying to sound reassuring, but even she could tell it didn't sound so reassuring, I mean, someone just died right in front of their eyes (again), let alone Amy! "Let's just walk away and figure out what we're going to do, then we'll come back. How does that sound?" said Madison "Sure." "Yeah. . ." "Okay." "Well then, let's go". Aiden stood up from Amy's side and started walking into the city, the rest of the group quietly following behind, Sam the farthest back. They stopped by a grocery store, Madison walking inside the rest of the group stayed out. She came out of the store, five cold bottles of water in hand as she walked towards them. She handed out the other four bottles, keeping one for herself. "We should keep moving." said Madison, breaking the silence but the group stayed quiet. "Come on guys, we have to keep moving" "I'm not going anywhere" "Aiden, you know we have to keep moving and we will leave you behind if we have to-" "Maybe don't be too hard on him" "WELL IT'S TRUE! You know we have to keep moving and we can't waste anymore time!" "Maddie, go easy on him, his sister just died" "Sam?! He literally was just being an asshole to you and-" "HIS F**KING SISTER JUST DIED! SHUT UP AND LEAVE HIM ALONE FOR ONCE!" screamed Oliver from the back. "LOOK, MADISON I GET IT! WE NEED TO KEEP MOVING! But you constantly screaming in his ear about it isn't going to help, especially since he's trying to get through his sister's death! And Aiden, Amy's death was a surprise and ultimate horror for us all, but please try not to fully shut down, we need you, you have great meaning in this group.".
