"I know, I know, but Amy was all I had, man. She was my little sister, and I was supposed to protect her! That was my only job! And, if I can't do that. . ." Aiden's voice trailed off, not even daring to finish that sentence. "But, shouldn't your parents -" "They're dead, Sam! They've been dead for three years! I just didn't want to go to foster care and get separated from Amy in that shitty system. She's the only family I have, but now she's dead and it's all thanks to that f**king dog! I swear I will kill that thing the next chance I get.". Then, the dog that had killed Amy burst out of an alleyway nearby, and it had brought a friend. The group split into two, the killer dog after Aiden, Madison, and William, with the dog's friend after Sam and Oliver. Both groups ran in a different direction, trying not to end up like Amy- uh, sorry. . . nevermind. Sam and Oliver started running in a random direction, the rapid dog not too far behind as they unknowingly ran to a park with a large pond in the middle. As they ran through the streets of Harrisburg, Sam in front, Oliver close behind, Oliver tripped and fell to the pavement, scraping his hands and his knee, but he didn't even notice, he just got back up and continued running from the dog, as blood trickled slowly down his leg. What Oliver didn't know, but Sam did, was that a couple minutes after turning a corner the dog had been ran over by a car and died instantly. When Sam realized this, he stopped running and stood only a few feet in front of a pond, waiting for Oli, as he ran towards him, not paying attention and trying to see if the dog was behind him anymore, and just as he turned his head back, he crashed into Sam's side and almost fell into the pond before Sam caught his arm. As Sam pulled him back to land, Oli noticed the immense pain and blood coming from his ankle. "Hey Sam, I think my ankle is currently bleeding out, and it really hurts" Sam looked down at his bloody ankle then back up at him "Y'know, I think you're right, Oli".
