The soft sunlight filtered through the curtains, softly illuminating Jaekyeon's room. His phone buzzed again, pulling him from the depths of slumber. With sleepy eyes, he grabbed his phone from the nightstand, squinting at the bright screen. A smile crept across his face as he saw the message from Nila.

“Good morning, baby (emoji-kiss and love). When you go back home, why don’t you wake me? Anyway, have a good day, baby! I’m off to the office. See you in the evening. Love you! (Emoji-kiss and hug)”

Jaekyeon's heart warmed at the sweet tone of her message. He quickly typed back, feeling the groove of affection in every word. 

“Oh, good morning, my chubby cutie (emoji- love )! I came back after the movie and saw you were asleep, so I didn’t want to disturb you. I’m sleepy, honey; I’m going back to sleep. Have a nice day! See you in the evening, and also eat on time and drink a lot of water, okay? Bye, babygirl. Love you so much! ( emoji- kiss and hug)”

With that, he felt a sudden wave of drowsiness wash over him again. Jaekyeon placed his phone back on the nightstand and nestled into his pillow, allowing himself to drift off once more.

The day passed in a blur for Jaekyeon. He went about his usual routine but couldn’t shake the warmth Nila’s message had given him. As he went through his tasks, thoughts of their last movie date played in his mind. They had laughed so much that night, and the cosy feel of her head on his shoulder lingered with him,  making routine moments feel extra special.

By the time evening rolled around, he felt energised, anticipating the moment he would see her again. Jaekyeon decided to pick up some snacks from her favourite café on his way. A little treat wouldn’t hurt, especially after Nila’s adorable reminders about eating.

As he entered their usual spot, the scent of fresh pastries and coffee wrapped around him like a warm hug. He ordered her favourites and headed home, his heart racing with excitement. 

When he arrived, Nila was waiting for him at the door, her face lighting up with joy the moment she saw him. 

“Hey, sleepyhead!” she teased, her eyes sparkling. 

“Just for you,” Jaekyeon laughed, pulling her into a warm embrace. The familiar comfort of her presence reminded him that no matter how sleepy he was in the mornings, moments like this always made it worthwhile.

As they settled on the couch, sharing the treats he had brought, the conversation flowed easily, filled with laughter, teasing, and sweet glances. Outside, the sun dipped below the horizon, but inside, it felt like their world was just beginning to shine. 

Jaekyeon realised that it wasn't just the coffee or snacks that made this evening special—it was the cherished moments shared with someone who understood him completely. And as they sat side by side, he knew that every whisper of “love you” was a step deeper into a beautiful journey they would continue together.

After sharing a delightful cup of coffee, Jaekyeon and Nila headed into the kitchen to prepare dinner together. This was one of their favourite ways to spend time; the aroma of spices and the sound of sizzling ingredients filled the air as they worked side by side. They laughed, exchanged playful banter, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of cooking as a team.
