“I’ll go with you.” I got up and we walked over together. 

Mathew tapped Chris’s shoulder and he got happy and stood up hugging us. “My boys are back.” He patted us. 

“Hey!” Kayle got up and hugged us. “It’s good seeing you. I missed you guys.” 

“Same here. Did you just get here?” 

“No, I got here after the ceremony and came straight here.”

“Oh yeah, it sucks, Tori couldn’t make it.” I replied.

“Yeah, at least you and the guys are here. Stephanie and Nina are coming too right?” 

“Yeah they should be getting here soon.” I told her.

“Ay,” Troy taped me. I turn and face towards Chris and Mathew.

“I brought some,” he made his fingers look like he was smoking up to his lips, “if you guys want to.” Chris told us. Oh no I thought to my self. 

“Chris?” Kayle told him.

“Not now obviously but later we can all take a little walk.” He told us. 

“I’m down but right now I have to make sure he’s feed.” Mathew put his hands on my shoulders and winked at them. 

We went back to our table and I ate what Mathew had brought me. I made him take a bite of the banana. We talked to Troy and my parents while we sat down. They finally took our order. 

“Pues como ve?,” Mathew asked my dad what he thought. “Si piensa que van a ir al super.” Mathew nodded at Troy. He was asking if he thought they would make it to the Super Bowl this year. 

Troy played on my dads favorite team. “Claro! Si tenemos a Troy.” My dad patted him on the back. Him not having a clue what he was saying. He said of course because they had Troy. He was the running back on the team. 

Nina had texted me she needed help with her dress. I asked Mathew for the key to get my charger on my way. I got to her room and helped her zip up her dress. She looked beautiful as always. She had on a red gown dress that was off the shoulders. Her hair that’s naturally wave was a bit curlier making it look more full. “You can go, I'm just going to touch up my lipstick.” She told me.

“Okay I’ll see you there, we’re at the back right but they’ll tell you when you enter.” I left and went back to my table. Mathew and Troy were teasing my sisters about a guys I told Mathew were trying to date my sisters. The food started arriving. Nina had told me to order her food and Stephanie’s so I did. It should be here by the time they get here. After a few minutes of us eating Logan and stephine arrived. They parked the stroller by the table. She had a 1 year old now. We all said hi before they sat down. She looked the same just a bit older I guess like everyone else . Logan still had his baby face that made him attractive but now had a goatee like Mathew did before he shaved. I guess I should tell you what everyone has been doing. I already mentioned Troy being in the NFL, Marco and Kyle becoming doctors, Jace worked with his brothers at a roofing company. Chris and Logan had opened a mechanic shop recently and Stephine was becoming a dentist before the baby. She just has to go back and finish up. Obviously Mathew is in the NBA, I guess you could say I work in the fashion industry/influencer. I mainly work with discovering cool brands to dress Nina or modeling. Nina ended up becoming an actress. With a very successful career,I style her. 

The band was toning up when Nina walked in. Even if she wasn’t famous actress everyone would stare. The whole room stopped when she walked in even the guys' toning stopped as she walked to our table. 

“God is she beautiful.” Stephine told us. 

“Yeah.” I mutter 

“What a woman.” Said Troy without taking his eyes off her. 

As she got to the table Mathew got up and pulled out her chair. She thanked him and sat down. My mom and sisters complimented how pretty she looked. We all started talking as they played music. Mathew, Troy and Logan went to the bar. They came back with cocktails for Stephine, Nina and I. They had beers. Mathew handed my dad a beer and gave me my drink. Troy gave Nina her drink. I could tell they were giving each other the eyes. Logan brought Stephanie’s hers. I moved Mathew’s beer away from him. 

“Oh he’s in trouble.” Troy teased him. 

“You have to eat first I told him.” 

“It’s fine.” Mathew kissed me. “One beer can’t get me drunk.” He reached for it pulling it back. He took a sip and started eating. 

While we were eating a little kid ran up with to sign his shoes. Mathew grabbed the sharpie and smiled signing it and asking his name. 

When we were finishing up eating Marco’s mom came over and started talking to us. A few minutes later his dad came introducing Marco’s father in law. “Let me introduce you to my daughter in laws dad and brother.” He told Mathew and Troy. They both stood up and Troy walked over to our side and they started talking about sports. Marco and his wife were doing the rounds, checking in on all the guests. They got to us and joined them in the conversation of the group that was forming by us.  

Stephanie needed to change the baby’s diaper so Nina, her and I stood up. When Nina stood up they recognized her and blushed. “Woah… you’re in that movie. You were amazing.” Marco’s brother in law blushed.

“Thank you, excuse us.” Nina replied. We went to her room and changed the baby real quick. When we got back they were getting ready to do the wedding activities and dance. Mathew headed off talking to the groomsmen with Troy and Logan and Kyle came and sat with us to talk. 

“I hate seeing stuff about you guys.” Stephanie told us. “I know it’s not true but even if you see enough videos pop up on your feed I start second guessing myself.” Logan came back with the baby asking for a bottle. “Obviously not the crazy stuff but like if you are sick or something or break up. Then I feel weird asking because it’s stupid but I would ask in normal circumstances.”

“Yeah I know but we can’t do anything about it.” Nina replied, playing with her ring.

“Marco and I talked about it before. How it was uncomfortable asking you guys about stuff because it’s non stop especially from the…” Kayle stopped. She realized my parents were trying to hear our conversation. 

They’ve always been worried about the attention Mathew and I get because he’s in the public eye. Because family members bring it up to their attention and even Spanish talk show drama channels talk about us because he’s obviously a famous NBA player with someone who’s Mexican. Since I do speak Spanish and he does too. So when they used to ask to interview me at events at first I wouldn’t say no. Now I know that just because they are Mexican news or channels it doesn’t make any difference from the right way channels in the us. They say the same things and are bought out and suck up to the same companies. He also answers their question in Spanish at press conferences after the games. They tend to see him a lot but I tell them not to watch anything with us in it. Even his post game interviews my dad watches with family or by himself but he doesn’t listen. 

“Yeah we can’t stop it for now.” I changed the subject. I guess I should get into how we got here.
