“They’re memories.”
His eyes suggested he already knew. His reaction was within the prince’s expectations, but the silence was getting heavier on every word.
“Shes not here.”
“...”
“Shes from another world.”
“I saw her though.”
“You didn't see her, you walked to her world.”
“...”
“Youre a god, afterall.”
He joked, before walking over to pat his shoulder, leaving the room. The general stood there, his mind going numb from the conversation he just had.
“Am I truly, though?”
He asked himself, clenching his fist, looking away at the distant horizon, that hid its magnificence away as the night descended upon the vast blue.
“Did I really go to her, or..”
He spoke gently, softly almost, but with intended danger, as he moved, to the wall, slamming his hand against it, his gaze falling down to the nothingness, only to reveal a vague figure.
“Did you come to me?”
Her breath was heavy, and the fear in her eyes was visible. Those emerald orbs, he’d recognize them anywhere. That shining black hair could hide her face from the world, but not from him. He knew of her features too well for this to be a first encounter.
The ghost-like figure stood still, with her confusion, her fear, and her helpless body cornered by him. She stood there, trying her best to stand still, but the shiver of her body was too visible. And of course, he would notice. Anyone would. Her trembling lips, her shaking eyes. She was beneath him, cowering like a little girl, but all he could think of was what she had said in his dreams.
He knew not of who she was, or how she ended up here. He didn't want to ask, the aching in his chest was begging him not to. The glimmer in those lifeless orbs as he gazed on her, was if she was giving him the light he had been seeking for, for so long.
