"Bloodwork," he replied. 

Her heart sank. "B-But whyyyy?" she protested.

"May I have something to eat?" his blonde child groaned.

"You can after your bloodwork... Want some McDonald's?" he asked. 

Hiro stopped at the hospital. He and his daughter went inside, holding their hands. They were immediately seen by Dr. Krause. She saw a Japanese guy get bloodwork. "Is this gonna hurt?"

"No." Hiro sat Alania down on a grey chair. Dr. Krause stuck the needle in her; she relaxed, letting the procedure take its course. Dr. K took it out. 

"I was your father's doctor ever since he was a baby." Dr. Krause passed her a jar of chocolates. "Take as much as you want; you deserve it."

Alania took 3 different kinds. "I'm saving this for later; we're going to McDonald's after we leave." The two walked off.

"I'll see you later, Dr. Krause," Hiro said. He then turned to Alania. "I'm leaving you with my brother, Ayumu, this Saturday; I'm going on a date with my new girlfriend. I must warn you; he's a little more strict."

"Ah, come on! Why'd you have to leave me with him...?" She frowned.

"I'd leave you with your parents, but they have plans as well." Hiro drove off to McDonald's.
