Following the events were the man who almost killed the general, and she, who had failed to grasp the sight of his glimmering eyes, had witnessed the horrifying nature of this man that was lying almost like an ordinary man asleep in front of her.
She gripped her chest, trying her best to be as quiet as possible, but her heart beat louder than her thoughts, which made it worse for her to grasp the situation. Exactly what was he? She asked herself again and again, and until the men had left once more, she lay in the corner, trembling from the suffocating atmosphere.
“I need to get out of here.”
She told herself, but no amount of running, no amount of looking around, and no amount of anything worked. The books were in Russian, she wasn't fluent in them. No matter if she yelled, or screamed, no one could hear her. It was terrifying to know that she was there but no one could see her. As though she were an actual ghost, but the possibility of it being just a dream had lifted her hopes.
Pinching herself over and over, her fears increased tremendously, and she was starting to become desperate. What has she done? Why isn't she waking up? What's going on? Where am I? Her life had never been a joyous one, but that didn't mean she didn't want to end it. Yet, it seemed like she was dead. Was she dead? Where was she? Where was this? Heaven? Hell? The possibility of another world didn't even cross her mind, before she found herself wandering in the palace.
Running, hiding away from the people even though they couldn't see her, she found herself in an empty room, with only a window, and a man standing in the middle of it. He wouldn't notice her anyway, was what she thought, but she couldn't help but reach out to him nonetheless.
“Stop.”
She froze. Siren eyes that were as sinister as the devils. Gold locks, features of a royal. The prince stood there, his gaze piercing her soul.
“hide.”
He could see her. The feminine figure, without uttering anything, quietly walked to a corner, standing to the wall, her head lowered as she thought endlessly. The joy of being seen by someone, the thought of her being dead withered away like ashes. Just as she found room to breathe, just as she found space to relax, the door opened, and the figure who walked in, made her mind go blank.
