A tall muscular built robotic man wearing red and blue robes and a cap of some kind sits in what appears to be a dull mechanical golden throne taking a deep breath. He sits before an advanced terminal with many screens with the biggest one displaying an avatar that looks like a red robot face.
“Ready when you are, Optimus.” the avatar states with the voice of an elderly man.
“Begin recording, Teletraan-1" Optimus pauses for a moment then sees the recording icon appear “This is Optimus Prime, and this archive contains the logs of what will be the most important mission in my term as Prime. That mission is to find a home where Transformerkind can survive, flourish and build a better future than my ancestors and generation did. For millions of years, my faction, the Autobots, and my archenemy Megatron’s faction, the Decepticons, have been at war in every sense of the word. The price of enduring so many generations of war is the destruction of our culture, countless casualties and the deaths of too many Transformers. Transformers we cannot forget, Transformers we should not have lost, Transformers we... loved.”
The scene changes to Megatron wearing a ragged cloak kneeling before a grave while looking up at the projection of a fierce looking ninja Decepticon. His face is stoic, but his eyes are sad as he raises the katana before her then bowing.
“Farewell, my love.” Megatron places the katana before the grave while other Decepticons say their final goodbyes to those no longer with them.
Some are numb, some say long speeches, some give offerings, some say prayers, and some cannot stop crying. Those who are done head towards what looks like an elaborate purple space ship the size of a building. In the distance, Autobots are doing the same thing while heading towards their own yellow spaceship once done saying their final goodbyes.
There are rows and rows of Transformers walking away from the ruined cities through the cracked and rusted ground with the smog all around them and an endless electrical storm up above while being escorted by guards. Once impressive monuments have literally fallen apart and are on the brink of becoming nothing more than rubble. Advanced buildings have either fallen apart entirely or are leaning with everything hanging out. Establishments are closed forever with their owners taking one last long look before leaving. The same is being done with many homes or rather, those who still had homes to leave behind. The Transformers themselves marching towards their respective spaceships are of all walks of life, all different sizes and different ages. Some even have children and infants who they carry in their arms or in their carts to not lose them.
Back in the main quarters of the ship, Optimus continues to speak “According to the archives and historians, there has never been a moment of true peace between the Autobots and Decepticons. Not even when there was no war. The millions of years of war resulted in the ultimate casualty; our planet. Cybertron. It was once a beautiful prosperous planet blessed with bountiful reserves with lifegiving energon, but now our once beautiful planet is now uninhabitable, bled dry of energon, and Transformerkind is now an endangered species. Our foolishness and inability to find harmony killed Cybertron. Yet, we still have one last hope.”
The scene changes to an elderly Autobot in what looks like a mechanical glowing bed speaks to Optimus Prime, currently clad in a red and blue armor, and a young Autobot clad in a red and yellow armor.
“Alpha Trion the wisest of all Autobots had one last prophecy before joining the Allspark. He spoke of a Blue Planet where organic life dominated, and it too overflowed with energon. This planet is destined to serve as the new home for Transformers, but to do that, we must form an alliance and brotherhood with that planet’s people “humans”. This prophesized blue planet is named “Earth”. With that in mind, my new mission and Megatron’s as it seems, is to find Earth. We don’t know where it is or even have any semblance of a course for it, but its description is so specific and so unique that my computer Teletraan-1 and Megatron’s Shockwave have been programmed to search for a planet with that exact description. My ship the Ark will house the last of the surviving Autobots while Megatron’s the Nemesis will house the last of the surviving Decepticons. Because there is also no telling how long this journey will be, everyone shall remain in statis until our ships find Earth and awaken us upon landing. This mission was Alpha Trion’s final request. He wanted the generation after us to be wiser and do better than we did. It is also my hope that such will be the case. As we are now, we are the survivors and the last Transformers to have been born on Cybertron are what I have named... Generation Zero. May Primus guide us to the promised planet and may the world we awaken to indeed be a better one than the one we left behind. Optimus Prime logging off.” Optimus leaned back and sighed.
“Well said, Optimus. Are you ready?” Teletraan-1 asked.
Optimus got up from his throne and walked over to what looked like a balcony overlooking rows upon rows of pods containing Autobots of all types in ageless slumber. He then goes up to the pod where a redheaded young Autobot slept in his own pod. Optimus smiled and then looked at the empty pod meant for him.
“I’m ready.” Optimus removed his robe revealing that underneath he was clad in a mechanical leotard as some drones collected his robe.
For a moment, he looked at a vase that contained a rose that appeared to be made of ruby. He walked over and took it holding it close to his chest.
“Watch over us, Elita-One.” he then kissed it and put it back in the case before entering his pod which closed and after being surrounded by steam, he fell asleep in a moment.
“Initiating launch sequence.” Teletraan-1's avatar became firm.
Back in the Nemesis, Megatron just entered his pod, and Shockwave’s avatar which appeared as a purple angular robot face was also getting ready to take off “System scan...”
“System’s are cleared and ready for launch. Activating engines...” Teletraan-1 spoke, and on the outside, one could see both spaceships engines turning on.
“Engines have been activated. Ready to launch in ten seconds.” Shockwave confirmed.
“Nine seconds...” the pod of the old green lady Autobot asleep in her pod while holding a large mechanical urn.
“Eight seconds...” the pod of a tall blue Decepticon wearing a visor has a pair of boy girl twins next to him, a bird like Decepticon and a jaguar like one.
“Seven seconds...” a red robot slumbers in the pod between his preteen son and child daughter who have each fallen asleep holding a toy.
“Six seconds....” a beautiful lady Autobot with a snow-white face has her luscious blackh air loose in her pod revealing how long it really is.
“Five...” a rabbit eared elderly bot sleeps with three identical winged Decepticons and one female winged Decepticon.
“Four...” a muscular green Autobot with a gentle face slumbers while sporting ceremonial tattoos.
“Three...” a red Decepticon and a blue Decepticon slumber next to each seemingly leaning towards each other.
“Two...” there is a closeup of Optimus and one Megatron.
“One!” both sets of engines roar loudly, creating a lot of fire and smoke before each spaceship gets launched into the atmosphere and both disappear into the thick clouds.
As both ships head towards space in search of the great planets, Teletraan-1's terminal sounds an alarm. The red avatar gasps upon realizing that a freak and sudden cluster meteors head their way.
“Oh no! LOOK OUT, SHOCKWAVE!!” the avatar messages, but it is too late.
The meteors come crashing on both ships while the alarms and both AIs screaming commands to desperately regain control. Then everything goes dark and after a while, everything seems to shut down including the mechanical vase housing the ruby rose.
