"Will you look at that?" Said an impudent voice. "What do we have here?" The people approached closer and finally stood above me. There were two of them. With my hazy eyes, I couldn't really see their features.

One of them kicked me. It was not harsh but it was very rude and pretty painful considering my current condition. "Get up, Bird." When I didn't answer or made any effort to move, he was about to kick me again.

"Hey" the other one spoke, getting his friend's attention. "I think he fell from there" he said, pointing towards the rocky hill.

"You think? He would've been dead by now" the first voice laughed disgustingly. He reached his hands towards me and forcefully tried to pull me up. I screamed in pain.

I felt like I was dying when a third voice snarled, making the others flinch.

"Leave him! Can't you see he's injured?!"

The others reluctantly stepped back, allowing the third person to step closer to me.

He croched down. "Hey there" he said with such a nice voice it almost healed my pain. Almost. I wish it had. His eyes were so kind and a warm smile spread on his lips.

He looked around for a bit, and like weighing his words, finally said; "You can not stay here. Especially being so injured. So I'm going to pick you up and I need you to bear with it" he explained.

Only thinking about being moved with this unbearable pain, brought tears to my eyes and I shook my head as hard as I could. Which was not much.

"I'm sorry buddy, but you have no choice in that. I can not just let you stay here"

Pained tears left my eyes when he picked me up and attempted to find the best position for me. I breathed hard and after a few more painful moments, he finally stood still, seeming to find the perfect position.

He held me vertically along his body, leaning me towards his left side. Having my body supported, really helped the pain. But it still hurt so much the tears kept flowing.

"Good job" he whispered, jently stroking my hair backwards, away from my face and wiped my tears with his thumb. "It's going to be okay. I'll take care of you" he assured. If I could I would've probably crushed him with a hug. He was nice. I hoped it was real and not pretend.

He started walking and the others followed close by. It hurt so much being moved but I felt better knowing they–or at least, he– was going to help me. I preferred suffering this pain instead of being left alone in the woods and probably be food for the wolves.

Not long after, there was a very big cabin in sight.

"We're here. Just a little more" the one carrying me said.

Finally. I wanted to rest now and not move until I felt better. Which was going to take a few days with good food and water. Without them, probably a week or more.

We entered through a slightly creaky door and he walked towards a bad. He gently laid me down on the surprisingly fluffy mattress, on my back, and sat down next to me.

"Now let's have a look at you. Okay?"
I couldn't really say no. Or maybe I didn't want to. Everything hurt so bad and if he could've helped then why not. So I nodded.

After my confirmation, he looked towards the two men leaning against the table. "You" he called, gesturing with his chin to the man on his left. "Go call the doc." The man went to do as he was told without even looking back.
