It was early in the morning. Alice walks around the headquarters of Legacy. Exploring every place she is allowed, trying to familiarize herself with the new place she is working for. 

Yesterday she was bummed that she didn't get to do much. 

But she just decided to not get her head around it. 

After exploring around she finally get to the last place she didn't explore yet. 

Thwip! 

Shrrrak!

Something was shot ripping throught what sounds like paper. 

Entering the room. 

Alice sees someone shirtless wearing black pants with slick back hair and a white strip in his hair. 

His hand seemingly holding something while pointing out.

At the front there seems to be multiple fast moving targets. 

Shooting multiple times at the fast moving targets. 

The person hits all the targets; each a bullseye. 

From the corner of his eye, he sees Alice. 

"Oh aren't you....Alice?" Laos says with a neutral expression. 

"What are you doing here this early in the morning?" Alice approaches Laos. 

"I could ask you the same thing. Don't you have school?". Laos asked Alice

"Not really, we already finished our exams and we pretty much have very little to do. I think somewhere by the end of the year is probably our graduation.".

"Really okay damn. Any plans for college?".

"No not really, dont have the funds for it. Plus I think being here is kinda my calling.".

Silence befalls the room. Laos wiping his sweat. Alice scratching her head then breaks the silence. 

Alice looks Laos in the eyes while he is wiping his sweaty face "About you and Ira. What are you two really?".

"Hm? You mean our relationship? We are just regular co-worker and friends.".

"Yes that I know.....but what's with the whole flirting with Ira? It's like a cliche acting of a guy in a romance drama.".

Laos put a finger on his mouth while looking up and thinking. 

" First of all rude,cliche characters like that are comedic and second....."

"To be honest, even I dont know myself. It's just you know...." Laos pauses before answering "For fun. To bring the mood up a bit.".

"Really? But isn't it a little over the top?"

"Who knows? He's to gloomy and cold that everyone practically hates him. But then again I used to be like that.".

"What do you mean by that?". 

Laos smile slightly "Wanna hear how I got here into Legacy?".

Alice a bit surprise "Only if you're comfortable with it.".

"Haha, why else would I be asking if you wanna hear. Come on let's go to a coffee shop and get breakfast, I'll tell you while we eat.".

Walking out of the shooting range room. 

Walking in the hallway to the exit of the building. There she sees a man whose face was covered with a face mask. 

Alice and the man lock eyes for a brief moment. 

The man's eyes widened only a for a single second then immediately goes back to being neutral. 

The mysterious man walks past both Laos and Alice. 

"Who was that?" Alice asked Laos as they were near the exit of the building. 

"Ah, he's..... Sir Loin. One of the oldest members of Legacy. You'll get the chance to know everyone here the longer you work here."

..... 

Finally a few minutes, they arrived. 

"So what do you want?" Laos asked Alice opening the door letting her go in first. 

"Brown coffee with a little creamer and for the food you choose."

"Alright then. Then mind finding a seat for us?"

"Sure." Alice giving a thumbs up to Laos. 

....... 

Alice and Laos sits down. Laos slowly puts the tray of food and coffee onto the table. 

"Alright then, let's see where should I start?"

Alice all ears on Laos to tell his story. Keeping quiet to listen to his story. 

"I guess I'll start off from my background."

My father was leading a mafia gang. My father was strict and mother couldn't handle the truth after hearing about my father's job. 

Which lead to her leaving and our father taking care of us. 

I had 2 other siblings. My younger sister and my older brother. I was the middle child. 

Dad always had lots of expectations from us;expecting us to lead the gang in the future. 

My brother and sister always tried their best to be better than the other, trying to please Dad. 

As for me I just didn't care about the whole mafia thing, but I was still forced to be apart of it. 

The Benignitas mafia gang was very powerful in terms of influence, power and wealth. Which made it hard for anyone to mess with the gang. 

Many years of doing our father's bidding. Father decided that my older brother was fit to lead the gang because of his personality seemingly close to his, which he liked. 

As for my sister, it was said she died in a accident which was a lie my older brother made. 

In truth he killed her just for the posistion of being the leader of the gang. 

As for me I wasn't interested for the position so i didn't care. 

After he was given the role of being the leader of the gang.

He gave me a mission to kill the head of Legacy;which was Graim. 

But I failed because Graim caught me just before I could kill him. 

I thought it was over for me which I didn't really care. Whether I died or lived. None of it mattered to me. I had already given up many years ago. 

But Graim asked me "Do you wanna join Legacy? With your skills your very talented and Legacy needs the help."

And so for the first time in my life I uttered out words that was unlike of me. 

"Al...right in exchange..... Please erase any traces of the Benignitas mafia gang."

"..... Alright then."

I thought I had given up. That I didn't care what would happen to me or what life had in store for me. But deep down inside I just wanted to live normal like any regular kid out there. 

A few months after that I met Ira around February or March I think? 

Most of the people that Graim partnered me up with didn't like me or that they hated the way I talked to them coldy.

Then Graim partnered me up with Ira. 

Ira was just as cold as me, matching my tone and the cold pitch black eyes. 

I thought that Ira was similar to me in a way with how he looked at me. 

Which kinda made me understand why every person Graim partnered me up with hated me. 

One day watching a show about two people, one energetic and flirty towards the mc who was a girl and the girl being weirded out and disgusted by the flirty guy. 

So I decided to mimick the personality of the flirty guy. 

Eventually I found myself adapting it to my peronality unknowingly. 

Ira didn't mind but found it annoying but despite that he still tolerate me. 

Months go by and then you already know the rest of how I met you. 

"Deep down inside maybe I wanted to atone for my family's wrongdoings. Which is why I took Graim up on his offer." Laos looks at Alice face. 

"What about you? Why did you accept to join instead of living a normal life?"

"I want to protect others and find the person who pays the bills to my house."

"Really?" Laos replied making curios expression. 

"Yeah, pretty funny right? I own the deed and yet someone else is paying my bills. Which I assume they own the house. They even drop off groceries every once in a while."

Her face makes an expression of both sad and happy. 

"I want to atleast say thank you to the anonymous person. Even if he or she is a weirdo, my intuition is telling me that they must be a kind person."

"Are you two on a date or something?".

Alice was startled by the sudden arrival of Ira. 

"Geez you scared me Ira." Alice holding onto her chest. 

Laos smiling as if he knew he was already there. 

"How long have you been there?" Alice asked Ira. 

"I just arrived and I saw you two. What are you two doing?" Ira raising a brow. 

Laos replying "Oh just confiding secrets to each other~".

Ira always having his nonchalant stoic face " So you two are on a date.".

"Aww is someone feeling jealous? Dont worry my heart still belongs to you." Laos replying with buoyant expression. 

"Not really but I am judging Alice if she is actually dating you who is almost in their 30s."

Alice spats out the coffee she was drinking out of shock.

"Wait what do you mean by that?!"

"Laos is 28 years old. He's old."

"I'm not that old. I'm still pretty young." Laos laughing because of Alice's reaction. 

"Really?!"

"He is telling the truth." Laos confirming what Ira said. 

Alice still in shock because of Laos age. Ira leaves and goes to the counter to order his coffee and breakfast for the morning. 

Laos still smiling looking at Ira as he walks to the counter mutter something out of his mouth quietly

"Love, huh."
