I arrived at the entrance of the hotel, where Cinnabar is staying. I feel his sister standing up; she knows I'm here. She’s good.

I see her opening the window and jumping out, landing gracefully on the ground without falling or shaking. Her two buns bounced on the back of her head when she landed. Then Cinnabar comes out of the window, slipping on the window frame and falling face-first on the pavement.

“Gah!”

“Big brother!” Mei said as she hurried to lift him up.

Cinnabar scratched his head as he got up, patting and rubbing off the dust on his clothes. Their hotel room was 50 meters up in the sky; a normal person would have died instantly if they fell from 50 meters and landed face-first.

But of course, I can survive that fall too; it’s no big deal for cyborgs like me.

“Oww… that hurt, well, what do we got here? Um, a girl?”

“Seems like it.”

“A guy. I am a guy.”

Mei’s eyes widened in surprise while Cinnabar’s eyes stayed the same, groggy and half closed.

“So, what do you want with us?”

“I am here for the NanoCore Cells. I know you have them.”

"Well, I don't really care if you take them or not; it's just that Mei doesn't want you to take the ingredient." He says as his eyes begin to droop. "We're from an organization that kills and captures people who cause villainy, so I'm afraid that Mei would have to kill or capture you."

His eyes almost closed, so he waved at me and Mei and jumped back up into the window and went to sleep.

I grab my scythe from my arm. Twirling it around, leaving the afterimages in the air. Mei puts up her fists in the air. The air feels heavy and hot; the heat is immense, but I don’t feel fazed.

Her fists went ablaze, then the red-hot flames slowly turned white, pale white. The air burned; her white fire is even hotter than Beryllium’s lightning bolts. I could feel the buildings around me melting into a sludge.

People weren’t melting, though. I am guessing she has a lot of control over her heat, so much so that she can control what to burn and what not to burn. It is still very hot; it feels like a supernova, crashing down onto my body.

Then she leaped from the spot where she was standing; she was gone, and in a split second, she appeared in front of me.

Gently tapping my stomach with her flame-engulfed fingers, it didn’t feel like much at first, but then I coughed up a bucket of blood. Her fingertips hit my vital point, the white flames would make the pain much more unbearable to anyone who doesn't have a high pain tolerance, which I do, but for some reason.

…I feel a little pain for the first time in so long.

The electrons inside the atoms are getting heated up so much that they exploded, which made the atoms shake at light speed. The atoms going at lightspeed are only around the both of us, which made it harder to breathe.

She tapped her fingers gently and fluidly onto my right chest, left chest, low stomach, and throat. The flames increased in heat, and the heat went through my wire veins, burning and roasting them a little.

Then she kicked my stomach, sending me flying. I tried moving, but I couldn't; it was like I was paralysed by something supernatural. My limbs felt like jelly and tofu, wobbling and shaking heavily. Then I coughed up more blood.

The spot where she tapped my body was burnt, her fire engulfed fingers burnt through my shirt, and heavily burned my chest and stomach, giving me small 3rd degree burns.

I crash into a building, creating a shockwave that kills hundreds of men, women, and children. Rubble fell on me, the scent of dust and ash evident in the air, and the same with the feeling of fire touching my skin.

I definitely lost a liter of blood.

The blood I lost was all filled with electric charges that power my body, but when I lose that electric-charged blood, I get weaker. It's more like fake blood since most of my blood got removed and was replaced with my electrically charged ones.

Then I heard footsteps behind me; it was Mei, who was a few meters behind me. She removed the rubble and boulders that fell onto the ground, and she also waved in the air, perhaps getting the dust and ashes off her body.

The dust and ashes made her sneeze; she wasn’t taking this fight seriously. She rubs her nose and sniffs roughly and loudly.

She looked at my scythe and stomped on the floor, which created a small shockwave that destroyed nearby glass windows and made small rocks fall onto the ground. The area where she stomped was a huge crack and dent.

Small pebbles and rocks on the ground were sizzling and melting away just from her being close to them. It was a fiery presence that made the very air boil like a stove.

“You know, this is a very cool scythe, very light, but very big. It's not good at close-quarters combat or in small spaces. Here, take it.” She threw the scythe at me, which I caught.

“You’re strong, a little too strong.” I coughed a little, wiping the blood off my lips and chin. "What made you this powerful? Training? Genetics?"

“Well, I was born in a very powerful family, one with talent and power. But my older brother was born with most of the talent, I was born with the least, which is why I have to train to even get as strong as the weaker Mineral Shard Organization members.”

She’s being humble; she doesn’t know it, but she’s even stronger than Beryllium. If she’s this strong, then how strong is Cinnabar? I need to get the NanoCore Cells, but I can’t, especially with her here guarding Cinnabar.

If I go after him, she’ll catch up in an instant and do the same thing until I die. I need a plan to get the ingredients, or I'll lose.
