Taru sat up in the morning, doing his usual routine. He took a shower, and finally changed his clothes, put all of his jewelry back on and walked out of his room. "Good morning Taru." Jemm spoke.
Taru yelled, he quickly looked over into the kitchen before lowering his fists. "A… Ah… Good morning Jemm." He slowly walked over and sat down, he really isn't used to living with someone still.
He looked down at the table and it was set with something really simple, Jemm placed a small cup next to his plate. "I made coffee, though if you don't drink it I can also make tea." Jemm smiled.
"Coffee is fine… I just haven't had it in a while… I didn't know I had any…" He picked up the cup and blew on it. Jemm sat next to him and leaned on his hands. "You didn't, you actually were out of literally everything so I went and got some stuff this morning."
Taru stopped mid sip. "This morning… what time is it?" He squinted.
"Nearing half cycle." Jemm began eating. They sat there in silence for a long minute, the only sound filling the air being utensils and the cup on the table. Taru then suddenly stood quickly. "IT'S ALMOST HALF CYCLE WE'RE SO FUCKING LATE-"
"Wow you're late Kiyomizu!"
"Thought you finally chickened out!"
"Your assistant stuck around too. Amazing."
They stopped at the top of the stairs, Taru huffed and gripped at the handle.
"You ate way too fast dude…" Jemm mumbled.
"I'm fine… I just need a moment…" He pulled the door open and stepped in.
They started down the hall but stopped as one of Imani's assistants approached. She bowed slightly. "Third seat. Miss Imani has requested you come see her once you got here, or once we found you." She then turned and walked away.
"She didn't look too happy to talk to you man." Jemm looked over at Taru who still looked like he was suffering hell upon hells.
"Yeah that's normal…" He strained and began walking.
"Ah, you are here that's good. Here I thought you overslept from a hangover again." Imani laughed.
"That's only happened twice… and I've learned to heal that now with an over half accuracy." He crossed his arms. "What did you need Miss M- Miss… Imani…"
Imani smiled brightly, before she looked over.
"I have someone I would love for you to meet." She spoke.
From deeper into her office, out walked a very very short elf, honestly he would've assumed she was a child if he hadn't seen her already. She had short neon green hair with darker green parts around her face. Her horns were cyan and her eyes were green too, though one was lighter and scarred. She was wearing a large jacket and a short skirt with mismatched stockings. She seemed uninterested, just tapping away on her Manaslate.
"This is Yoshi, you may remember her from the accession ceremony. She's the fourth seat if you remember." Imani stood, smiling as she looked between them.
The two of them finally looked at each other and Imani placed a hand on each of their heads.
"Starting today, you will train her. I'm counting on you Aru."
