He realizes that the laterally cut arm has ice that prevents him from regenerating the wound. He kneels, looking at Poul, who observes the giant's situation and smiles with joy upon seeing the giant bleeding heavily.
Poul looks at his left arm and willed it to return. Even weak, a faint frost comes out, moving towards his arm. The ice clings to his arm and returns to Poul's body, thus beginning to regenerate his entire body, which had been wounded internally and externally.
The ice that had consumed his arm then expands to the middle of his chest. The burning sensation increases along with the numbness of his arm. Poul stands up with a smile, watching the giant with his arm and sword frozen, forced to cover his unregenerating wound. The giant’s situation makes Poul quite happy.
Poul begins to walk toward the giant. As he walks, several ice spikes begin to appear around him, which the giant counters by creating his own to protect himself. The giant is terrified. He is seeing his defeat and death for the first time in his life. His pride has been trampled by Poul, who stands before him.
The spikes fly toward each other, colliding and creating a smoke that prevents him from seeing the giant. As Poul calmly walks through the dust cloud, his murderous intent grows stronger with every step he takes toward the giant. The giant feels this murderous intent coming from Poul and becomes increasingly frightened.
When Poul spots the giant's foot, an ice stake immediately emerges from the ground, piercing his foot. A scream of pain follows. Over the noise of the scream, Poul creates ice and several ice spikes. To defend against this, the giant creates a wall.
Suddenly, Poul appears, swinging his ice sword, with a bloodthirsty look and a dark smile. He embeds his sword into the giant's neck and then tears it, blood pouring out. His hands are smeared with blood; after all, this was the first giant he had ever killed.
🔪 Aftermath
While this was happening, Jay and his friend's father were preparing to eliminate the invaders. When the basement door opened, his friend's father lunged at the invader, grabbing him by the neck and beginning to strangle him. As he choked the invader, he realized he was a soldier, which made him squeeze even harder. Jay ran toward the strangling soldier. He pulls a knife from his pocket and uses it to stab the soldier in the head, killing him on the floor. Jay looks at his bloodied hands.
'I killed a person! No, but it was necessary. If I didn't, we would lose time.' — Jay thought, after killing a person. He withdrew the knife from the soldier's head.
His childhood friend's father searches the soldier, until he finds what he was looking for: a sword. "Kid, I know you're blaming yourself for killing a person, even though you're a child, but it was necessary to do this, otherwise we would lose unnecessary time. Do you understand? And I apologize for making you do this." — He finishes, hugging the poor boy, who, without realizing it, begins to cry.
'Huh, am I crying?! Am I crying because I killed this person? Does this make me a monster?' — Tears slowly ran down. — 'Yes, it makes me a monster.' A faint, sinister smile appeared on his face.
"Jay, can you guide Kyrai and Mary while I silence the others, okay?" "Luis, after I do that, can I come back to help you?"
Luis looked at Jay with a strange look, and then nodded.
Luis stealthily killed the soldiers and took all the bodies to the basement, then set them on fire to leave no evidence. Afterward, he cleaned himself up and went to meet his family.
Jay soon went to meet his father, who was being treated in a medical tent — even though he had regenerated with ice, there were still some after-effects. Jay approached his father, who was lying on a stretcher. His son hugged his father. "It’s good that you are alive."
