STORY UPDATE

Shorter Verzion:

I'm just going to rip off the bandage: I’m planning to discontinue this version of this story. 

BUT PLEASE READ BELOW (before you throw your shoe at me (I know some of you caught the reference ;) )

If people or someone is reading this story, and they reallyyyy want to see the rest of the unedited, unrefined, WIP/1st draft, then I am willing to post it here.

Just comment down below, “post 1st daft,” or whatever comes to mind

The plot will probably be confusing because I started rewriting/working on the first few chapters (the ones already posted to Tapas) before I lost my passion. And I never really finished the first draft.

And the kicker is...(in the rewritten sections), I had added new characters, and plot points that were not in the original/1st draft version. So if I post the rest of the first draft, those new plot points and characters will disappear unless I include them in somehow :/

And I'm hardly going to do any editing, so mistakes will be there.

Yeah...this doesn't sound promising, does it? ><

Last point: MAJOR UPDATE. I am currently replanning and writing this story. It's not really the same story.

It's something entirely new.

However, in the rework, I'm using some similar plot points and characters.

So if you stick around and end up reading the completely new, rewritten story in the wayyy future, some parts of it will be spoiled by the old TDOV version.

So proceed with caution...

But, I didn't want to leave those who actually want to finish the story hanging, so I am proposing this option. So if you don't care about all the issues I've mentioned and just want to finish the unedited version, then...

You're something else!

But seriously, I want to thank you for being so supportive and committed!

Long Verzion (More Details that may be TMI):

I'm truly so sorry to announce this, but I will be discontinuing this version of the story.

I know, I know, it’s terrible to start reading something only to learn the author dropped it. It's happened to me before, guys >:

I really didn't want to be one of those, but alas...here we are.

However,

this isn’t the end but only the beginning.

What I mean is: for an extremely long time, I had completely lost the passion to write.

I literally couldn’t write anymore. No passion. No drive.

Nothing. 

No matter how hard I tried to write again, nothing would come. It was so frustrating, and I felt up against an insurmountable wall. 

Yet this December 2025...

Everything changed. 

I was reading this story online, which lit a fire of inspiration and passion within me. It sparked an idea for my own story, and so, I blew off the dust collecting on my TDOV story and once again started to plan.

Ideas would not stop flowing. 

One idea sparked another, plots changed, and were completely rewritten.

12 days of practically non-stop writing, where I breathed and lived and lost hours of sleep over this new rework, I was looking at a 159-page Google Doc with all my plans, research, and thought dump for this new work. 

This story had grown far bigger than TDOV. 

The new version is much deeper and more vast. ALL my brain power (my two brain cells) and then some went into it. Figuring out the many plot lines, characters, world-building, twists, emotion, messages, and more.

An entirely new Epic Fantasy.

I am filled with so much passion, excitement, and inspiration to write and one day (Lord Willing), share it with others. 

Maybe even you!

I don't know when the story will be out, most likely a few years from now, (knowing me).

I also don't know whether to write all the books first (before releasing the entire story on Tapas and other reading platforms) or if I should publish the books as each draft is completed.

I’m a perfectionist, and not having everything known, planned out, detailed, and done before sharing with others is something I struggle with.

So I don’t know which direction I will go.

I plan to self-publish these books. That is the ultimate dream. A dream I've had since I was young (when I truly started to love reading).

I want to create my own story. A story that has everything I ever wanted. All the things I love, my interests, and important messages to inspire others.

A story untold.
