"So, Kea! Made any progress on your finals!?"

Her eyes pierced into my fragile soul.

Any wrong move and I'll probably be made fun of.

"Yeah, I got some of the study work done last night."

Not nearly enough of it, though… And why the hell did I have to tell her I was studying for the finals in my spare time!? Now I have an extra layer of conversation to get out of!

"That's cool, but did you spend any time with your friends outside of studying? I don't really see you leaving your room."

… Friends, yeah… Ok, it's not like I have none because I'm a loner or anything! All my old friends just went to a separate school!... And now, it's so much harder to connect to people when everybody else already fits in their own little community…I'd hate to ruin that. (Not like I could)

"Kea?"

Agh! I zoned out!...
