The cooked vegetables were steaming on the table, and the silence was palpable. Nil hadn't even said a word yet.

*Ding*

Her face lit up.

"Hey Kea! Y'know what that is!?"

"Uh… No?"

"Come on! It's the results of our finals!!"

She pulled her phone out and quickly pulled up her results.

She took one glance at the screen and looked at it for a good minute.

I was about to say something, but she quickly put the phone down, going back to what she was eating.

"Anyway! What'd you get???"

Changed the subject before I could say anything…

I looked at my phone, the notification glowing in the center.

I looked through each individual question:

"Oh wow! That's amazing, Kea!" She cheered.

What the hell!? When did she get behind me…

I looked back down

"I can't believe I got the last one wrong…"

After all of that!

"You tried your hardest Kea, you got the result you worked for... To tell you the truth… I got 54% myself... but..."

I… This is the first time I've heard her so disappointed… Should I say something? I want to, but I don't know what to say or how to say it… You know what! Hell if I care, I'll figure it out later!!!

"Uh… I'll cook tomorrow's meals, and I hope you feel better. I know it's not a great feeling getting less than you expected." I know how she feels, so I must make sure to be the person I didn't have!
