As I lay in my bed, the glow of the phone in the dark room illuminated a spotlight around me and my pillow..

I had stopped reading over an hour ago at this point. The only app I hadn't touched was my contacts. But, I was leaving that one alone on purpose. It doesn't serve any purpose anymore anyway; It didn't end up serving its intended purpose in the end, but I have myself to blame, I never asked Kea or anyone else for anything.

I swiped the app, clicking delete; I watched as the green square disappeared from my screen.

*yawn*

I need to show strength tomorrow too; the summer isn't going to end anytime soon. And…

I got up early today. Seemingly, that walk the other day seems to have reset my system!

And today, I have made up my mind!!

I will ask for Nil's contact! It should hopefully help with our likely broken roommate system!

The only problem is… I need to ask for it, and that's something that I don't want to do, but… Nevermind.

Two slices of toast lay on the table. Nil was sitting on the other side, nibbling on her third piece. I, on the other hand, was building up the courage to ask.

Nil could tell something was up because she set her toast down and started looking at me with anticipation…

Genuinely, how the hell am I supposed to say anything under this kind of pressure?

Crap, I am overcomplicating this! It's just a mutual benefactor!!

"Hey, uh, Nil… Would you like to swap contacts…? It would be a pretty go-"

"Really!? You would do that!?"

She pulled her phone out, swiping through her apps.

That… Was it kind of easy?

Her smile faltered a little, though… Wait… Did my request sound creepy or rude!?

"Eh… Wait just a moment… I need to uh… message a 'friend' about something!"

Crap! I… deleted my contacts app yesterday night!

I scrambled to redownload the app, the bar on the top of my screen making sure to go as slow as possible for me.

Kea started to look a bit worried. His face was very telling of what he must have been thinking.

"Ok! Here, scan this!" She cheered.

I pushed my phone to his side of the table.

*Click*

"Thank you!! I hope to make good use of this!" Nil said with a cheerful voice.

She was acting a bit weird, and I couldn't help but notice that her contacts were… Almost empty.
