Ordi is one of the largest states within the country of Sevrin.
Roseton City is one of the largest cities in Ordi and is famous for bringing a fantasy-like aesthetic.
Many events are held there, one of the most famous being a Renaissance fair.
Since its aesthetic perfectly fits that of the medieval ages, it makes many people come for the experience itself.
October 1, 2025, 7:33 AM...
The trio wake up early in the morning and do their daily routines.
Alice is showering, Laos is combing his hair, and Ira is brushing his teeth while their other co-workers are also preparing for the morning.
They are currently staying in a hotel in Roseton, near Dawnbridge Street.
10:19 AM...
The fair seems to be packed with many people.
Many attractions to see and play.
Many sounds can be heard. The sole of their shoes from walking, the chattering sounds of people talking, and the laughter of the people.
In the center of the fair, there seems to be something painted on the ground.
A medieval knight that has its sword stabbed onto something but seems to have been cut because of the circular frame that doesn't fit the entire art.
One of the fair's eye-catching piece of art, which is one of many reasons people come.
Known as 'Knight of Equality.'
It's said to be where most duels took place back in the Medieval Ages.
Where if one is not 'fair' in a duel, karma would befall them.
Many years have passed, and this spot has become a very famous attraction.
The art on the floor was later painted in today's modern age....
Ira reports to his peers.
"This is Ira, near the games and activities. Nothing out of the ordinary so far."
Beep!
"This is Laos, near the entertainment section. Same here for me."
Beep!
"Umm... Ah... This is Alice, near the food stands, and nothing out of the ordinary."
Alice's voice sounded a little nervous because this is her first official job as an officer.
Laos consoles her.
"Don't worry about being nervous, Alice. Everyone is for their first time working."
"Thanks, Laos."
Beep!
Ira joins in.
"You two, only use this to report your current situation, not for conversations."
"Do it after work."
Laos replies, "Yes, sir."
A few hours later...
7:27 PM...
The trio is sitting down in a tavern-like building, eating their dinner.
Alice sighs, "Today has been tiring."
"Well, expect more of this, since this is just the surface of the job," Laos replied.
Ira digs in his food, ignoring the bickering that surrounds him.
Creek...
The door to the tavern opens.
Looking up, Ira notices someone wearing priest-like clothing enter the tavern.
A chubby belly, hair a little balding, and a presence that seems to creep out the other members within the tavern.
Ira signals Laos.
Laos notices Ira's signal and nods.
Alice looks at the two, confused. "Hey, what are you two—"
Right mid-sentence Laos puts a finger to Alice's mouth.
"Shh, be quiet."
Alice was confused about what Laos was doing.
The person wearing the priest-like clothing approaches them.
"Well, well. Looks like the fact that you people are here means there's demon activity happening here."
Ira and Laos roll their eyes.
Ira stands up.
"Good evening, Bishop Thomas. What brings you here? I thought the church was busy?"
"Hmmp, I was tasked to keep you people in check by the church."
"Why would the church care about the activities of us officers? We are merely tasked to supervise such a large event." Ira replied coldly.
"We were given a revelation about the events that are going to transpire here."
"And it seems that our esteemed goddess was right. I can sense some evil energy nearby here."
"Goddess? Too immersed in the medieval setting that you're starting to spout nonsense?" Ira mocked the man.
"Pray tell, how many of those revelations have actually come true?" In a sarcastic tone, Ira asked the bishop.
"Hmmp, you can mock the church all you want, but you will come to regret it one day."
Walking to the door of the tavern. Opening the door and just before leaving.
"Don't worry, lost little lambs. One day you will convert yourself and see the truth."
After announcing a dramatic speech. The bishop then walks out of the tavern.
Ira sits back down again and then says.
"Let's just finish dinner."
Everyone was too shocked to say anything. After a while everyone leaves the tavern.
The trio then enters Laos's car and drives back to their hotel room.
"Hey, what type of beef does Legacy have with the Church of Virtue?" Alice asks Ira.
Ira replies, "They suspect us of doing demonic activities because they saw us killing a demon."
"Despite Legacy answering the public to get rid of rumors and doubts of the people, the Church of Virtue still believes firmly that Legacy is doing demonic activities."
Alice then replies, "Why would an influential church bother when the rumors and allegations have already been testified to be false?"
Laos joins in, "They're just that stubborn. They've been at it with Legacy for who knows how long."
Alice feels a headache incoming. Thanks to learning more about the dispute between Legacy and the Church of Virtue. She feels she has joined a troublesome organization.
The trio arrives at the hotel and goes into their own respective rooms, saying goodnight to each other.
Lying down, Alice recalls everything she has done for the past few months.
The incident with the bus demon where she almost lost her life.
Lessons and training that Ira taught her.
Her interview and combat with Graim, her very first mission, and learning about Laos's past and currently their job supervising over the fair.
Her only motivation is finding the person who pays the bills for a house she owns.
Every random week she would get groceries to fill her fridge up.
She questions and questions.
Trying to find the person, but she eventually gives up trying to find the mysterious individual.
The only thing she does is write notes just a day before groceries get dropped off in front of the porch.
Saying thank you and asking the person if one day they will show themselves to her.
She mutters in a low voice, "Who are you? Why won't you show yourself?"
Sleep then takes over her.
Unaware of what happens the very next day.
Something that is a normal thing for Ira and Laos but not for her.
