Barakhtozian Assault - A short memoir story

Chapter 3

Chapter 3

Dec 27, 2025

Mid-semester of my university studies, I once had a problem. A problem that even until now I cannot forget the chronology, who the person is, and who is involved. On Monday, I made a mistake by joining a group whose all members are women, three women. Indeed there is no problem if joining with women, but what I mean here is women who ... one faculty, one class, one game, and what is most annoying to me, have one plan to always oppose me, even though I am part of their group.

I will not make you read the story too long, READER, because this is a short memoir story. Briefly, because I and they are from different faculties, and they are in one class, so our schedules always clash. Until at one point we argued to the point of forcing me to leave them because they could no longer be managed. But the problem did not stop there, they, in our everyday language now we call as 'play victim' thoroughly by embarrassing me in class. Although I once thought to ask my lecturer to change groups, but the rules did not allow it, and forced me to withdraw from the class because the lecture conditions in this class were no longer possible. And what happened to them? I don't know, it seems they got an A grade from this subject.

Oh god, why do you give people who 'play victim' like them rights that should not be for them. Are you being fair by making the perpetrators of atrocities in this country to continue to act unfairly without proportional retribution? Up to this point I also keep questioning, are god and religion two concepts that are interrelated, why do they seem useless at this time, or god himself actually does not exist, but is only a form of escape from ourselves? I also don't know.

Father and mother also do not seem to defend me in such a matter. They only told me to be silent, silent, and give in at that time, so I lost first morally. My friends also seem to consider this not a serious matter. Well, if indeed this world does not need to be too serious, why does religion also tell us to be serious in pursuing the door to heaven? Are those two concepts different, serious world and afterlife? I ... Also don't know, I don't know who to ask about this.

A fictional memoir based on a true story, following the internal struggle of a young man in the fictional Republic of Barakhtozia. He critically questions his religious upbringing, the fairness of God, and the stark contradiction between teachings of peace and the reality of societal hypocrisy and ongoing religious conflict. His sincere inquiries are met with silencing, threats of "sin," and labels of being a dissenter. The core message is not a rejection of faith, but a raw, honest plea to distinguish pure religious essence from its rigid, politicized misuse by people in power. It's a call for critical thinking, the courage to ask questions, and preventing religion from becoming a tool that breeds passive, fanatical generations. Ultimately, it's a story of disappointment born from a deep love and hope for religion to truly embody the justice and peace it promises.
