Kai's POV

"Took you a bit longer than usual." Liam said when I sat down next to him.

"Yeah..."

"Is 'Yeah...' everything you have to say to defend yourself?"

"Yeah..."

From the corner of my eye I could see his hands reaching towards me. I should've known what he was about to do. But it didn't really cross my mind.

And so he attacked me. With tickles.

"What in the world happened to my friend?? I want him baaack."

"Waaaahahahaaa Liam staaahp." I struggled to let out coherent words while he almost tickled me to death.

Then I saw something behind him move.

I stopped screaming for mercy and he noticed. "Kai?"

"Is that..." I pointed to the bushes and started standing to my feet when he looked back.

"Liam it's--"

"Kai no." he said and lowered me back to the ground.

"It's the wolf! Can't you see him??" I whisper-yelled.

"I definitely can. But let's not go there." He kept stealing glances over his shoulder.

I don't get him. "But why..?"

"Cause he may hurt you..."

I looked into his eyes. "Liar. He was very nice before. There's no reason he'll hurt me now." What does he have against that wolf?

"Look! I promise there's an explanation. Okay?"

"Liam..."

"Can we cuddle now please?"

He looked almost desperate as he tried to convince me not to go into the woods. I looked again. I couldn't see the wolf but I knew he was still there. I really wanted to go say hi. But I so wanted to trust Liam. My best friend. He won't lie to me.

It took me a few more seconds of staring to give up. "Ugh fine. But whatever explanation that is, it better be good." I said with a pointed finger.

He gasped dramatically. "Don't you point your finger at me."

"Don't you say mean things about the wolf."

"I wasn't trying to be--"

I crossed my arms over my chest. "Mh?"

He groaned. "Okay."
