So, they became really close—so close that everyone called them a couple. Why not gay? BECAUSE FURA LOOKED LIKE A GIRL, that was obvious!
The fact that Fura looked like a girl didn’t bother him, and the long hair was for style—he was fashionable here. Like, if he wasn’t fashionable, that would be the end of the world.
Every single day that he left the house and went outside, everyone complimented him on his good looks… as a girl! Shit, he thought, all this just bored him. Every blessed second! Enough!
That’s another reason why he didn’t go outside, and his life was boring before Mito—but not that boring because of his girl-like appearance.
In the past, before he met Mito
He was just sitting on the bench when someone sat very close to him. He was an open person, so he didn’t mind—but that person was a man. Okay, Fura was 16 and looked more feminine at that time, so this man thought he was a sweet girl and started sweet-talking to him, like flirting. Fura thought the sweet talk was just to be comforting, so they talked, and the man started touching Fura’s hands and legs. But Fura just left him alone; he stood up and walked away. Yes, Fura was—and still is—really direct.
But the man followed him to his house. Fura punched him with a neutral face and closed the door, saying that he was a man with a cold manner. Yes, something I didn’t mention: Fura used to be cold and closed, like a piece of ice with a heart inside… But now Mito had melted that ice, freeing that poor little heart.
Fura really appreciated Mito; he was like the only person he truly cared about. Yes, he cared about his friends too, but Mito… he was different. Fura always felt more comfortable with Mito than with anyone else. And Mito wasn’t like that to Fura just because he was in love—no—because he genuinely appreciated him and cared about his feelings, and that was just Mito’s nature. So it was normal.
In the past, before he met Fura
Mito… Mito was normal, but he had a little problem with love. When he was 18 (now he’s 20; yes, he goes to the same college as Fura, but not the same year), his female best friend confessed to him, and he didn’t know how to react. He had never really known what love was, how to recognize it, or anything about it at his age. So he just rejected her in a sweet manner, but she, in anger, said bad things to him—how innocent he was at his age, and more personal stuff. Yeah, he was a little problematic, but only a little. He lived alone because he was almost from another country. That’s why he’s leaving this college after the spring, to go back to his family and old friends in China. Yeah, he has origins from there, but he was born in Japan, then moved with his Chinese family to China when he was three years old.
