The police started investigating. While investigating, they approached the people but none of the people had any idea what was happening.
Shortly, a sweeper of the Railway was running, screaming, "Sir!, Sir!" towards the officer and showed an id to the police which he found lying on the floor.
The policemen saw the id and questioned the sweeper, "Do you know him?"
The sweeper said, "No."
Then, they approached Mr. Ghosh.
They questioned, "Do you know how many days people are disappearing?"
Mr. Ghosh said, "No, but I remember that one day while I was returning home from the office, I saw that a train came to the station at 12:05 a.m. and departed from there at 12:08 a.m.."
Upon hearing this, the policemen went to check the CCTV footage of the station but they could not gather information as the cameras were updating that day. So they took Mr. Ghosh into the case to gather information about the case.
Suddenly, a tea seller who lives near to the station tells that he hears the sound of train horns while sleeping. But he also knows that the last train arrives at the station at 12:00 a.m.. The officer got this peculiar information. So the policemen also took the tea seller into the case.
They took both of them to the police station. As they reached the police station, they first started questioning Mr. Ghosh. While questioning, the officer came to know that Mr. Ghosh had a ticket of a train which he got the previous night. It also has a number. It was a train numbered 12508.
Upon hearing this, the tea seller said that it was a train which used to come a long time ago. But as it was depreciating, the train was removed. But how it came back.
The policemen found the information very strange about the case. So they thought of making them as bait for solving the case. They wanted approval from both of them. At first, they started hesitating whether to approve or not. But after a long discussion, they both approved.
As they were bait for the police, Mr. Ghosh could not go for the office that day. At 12:00 a.m., Mr. Ghosh and the tea seller reached the station. As always it was dark and silent. Suddenly they both saw the train which was arriving at the station.
This time, it arrived at 12:06 a.m.. Mr. Ghosh has the ticket in his pocket. The train was dark from inside. They both went into the train and it departed from the station at 12:09 a.m..
