“Nice shirt.” Luka smirked, blatantly staring down at Xander's black t-shirt that featured a cartoon sausage dog wearing a comically large hotdog costume.
Xander rolled his eyes as he smiled back. “Thanks.”
Chapter 04 “Elliot, you're drunk,” Lana claimed, placing her perfectly manicured hand over her fiancée's blushing cheek—warm. “Have some water.”
Jayne had already gotten a glass out of the cupboard, filled it with water from the tap, and was handing it to Lana.
“Feed it to me by mouth,” Elliot suggested with lustful glee.
“Not in front of our friends, Elliot,” Lana replied, holding the glass to her fiancée's face.
“I don't mind,” Luka joked.
“This isn't about whether or not you mind,” Ash reprimanded his best friend.
Chapter 05 “What? And how much is that?” Luka's voice brought Xander back to reality.
“A lot,” Ash said again, this time with a smile directed at Luka.
“Stop teasing the poor boy, you two,” Lana lectured. Although she was undoubtedly on Xander's side, hearing her refer to him as ‘boy’ made him feel so small and meagre. There wasn't that much of an age gap between Xander and everyone else, only four or five years. Yet, he felt like a child surrounded by a group of mean teenagers.
