The next morning I was woken up by a soft knock on my door. I peaked an eye open as the door creaked. It was Devin. He was smiling. How weird. Who smiles that brightly when opening a door.

"Time to get up! We let you sleep in late enough." I felt my eyes roll without a second thought to how disrespectful wolves veiwed it. "Did you just roll your eyes at me?" Devin's tone changed to something serious so quickly it made me pale. I felt all the color in my face drain instantly and threw myself on the floor in a bowing position. 

"Please forgive me! I didn't mean any disrespect I swear!" I was looking straight down at the floor boards too afraid to see the anger in his eyes. Too afraid to see Him looking back at me. I heard him take a couple slow steps towards me and prepared myself for the punishment I deserved. Even though he wasn't the Alpha of this pack he was still an Alpha and the Beta of this pack which meant he deserved the highest of respect.

I felt his fingers on my chin. Sparks shocking me where his skin met mine. I still refused to look up. I didn't want to be in anymore trouble than I already was. 

"Look at me." He said sternly. I was having an internal battle. If I looked at him it could be considered disrespect but he told me to look at him so I needed to follow his command. The sparks were making it hard to focus. What was happening to me? 

"Sara look at me!" My eyes shot up to his. I hated that it wasn't my real name leaving his lips. When our eyes connected I felt as though a piece of my soul was complete.

"Sara why were you so afraid of me?" His eyes were kind. He didn't show any anger on his face. Maybe I hadn't broken any rules. Maybe the rules of this pack were different.

"I... I uh thought I broke a rule. I was afraid I would be... punished." I forced myself to look away. I couldn't understand the intensity in his eyes.

I heard hurried footsteps coming down the hallway. I couldn't help but tense up. What if I really did break a rule and Alpha Darevin was coming to punish me instead. 

"Devin is everything okay in here? I thought I smelled fear." Darevin said as he came in through the doorway. 

"Yeah I just accidently scared Sara." 

"Sunny." How did that even slip out. My hand flew up to my mouth in horror. What did I just do?! They can't know my name! How could I just let it slip out?

You know why Sunny... Trust them...

My head moved side to side trying to figure out where that familiar voice came from. Who was that? Am I going crazy and just hearing voices in my head now.

"Sunny?" Devin asked me. His voice confused. I could see the question in his eyes. I had two options, play it off and keep lying or, just tell the truth. 

"My... my name is Sunny not Sara." I looked up and my eyes connected with Darevin's. All the pieces slid into place. Everything felt complete. This can't be right. He said He was my mate and that the Moon Goddess never changed her decisions. What if...what if he lied? He had to have, right? Otherwise I wouldn't be feeling this, right?

I could feel myself spiraling with more questions than answers. I needed to ground myself. I felt my nails turn into claws and sunk them into my palms. My breating slowed and my focus returned.

"Sunny what are you doing?!" I heard one of them shout. I was too busy trying to calm myself. Just give a girl a minute. Everything I thought I knew was potentially a lie or a manipulation. 

"I just... needed to focus. Are you... are you two my mates?" I asked the question before I could stop myself. I was afraid they would laugh at me for asking something so ridiculous.

"Yes." They both said in unison. 

"Little Wolf you are our fated mate. You have no idea how long we've been waiting for you."
