The week goes by kind of quickly. We don't have much homework yet, just a few math sheets, and they're SO easy. I'm a dragon with a general dislike for advanced math, but these worksheets are just slightly complicated arithmetic. Instructor Binomial must be going easy on us. Almost all of the dragons at school are pretty nice, and Midnight hasn't called me Strawberry Scales at all after that first day. But does that even count if she hasn't talked to me at all after the first day, period? I don't know.
Ciel, that sky-looking one is, is pretty funny. Apparently one of her friends from cross-country is also in 6C, and I've seen them hanging out a lot. I get to chat with Firefly in between classes, and I always sit with Skipper and Firefly during lunch.
I've played a few games of Takao with Blaze. At least, when Flicker isn't screaming in his ear. Takao is sort of like dragon checkers, with fancy rounded stones for pieces, and it's pretty fun. I don't play it as much as Flicker and Blaze, though, so the only Takao stones I own are dull and boring. Maybe someday I'll get a pack with better desgins.
Firefly has tons of aerobatics classes, as usual, but we're both thinking about joining one of those after-school activities. Firefly thinks some singing would be fun, but I sing like a diseased goose, so that's out of the picture. But there's one possible after-school activity that we both think sounds fun: Trinket crafting. All dragons have trinkets. It's part of our nature. I have a small stash under the rock bedbase in my room. There's a loose stone that I used to use as a step that's carved out of the bedbase, and I hide my trinkets behind the stone. Friends will often gift and trade trinkets, and they're really fun to make. Firefly loves crafting trinkets, so we'll probably both sign up for that.
Skipper's busy with Airbasket, a game of trying to get a rather large stone into a basket, so she won't be able to do this, but that's okay. We still see her at school and hang out.
It's been a pretty good week, but not much to report. There's still the appointment with the Sludigins for seeing if there's more frogs, though. I wonder what's going to happen...
Scarlet of the Pyroflare family is just trying to navigate the ups and downs of becoming a teenage dragon, when she discovers that she's not just a regular fire dragon after all. Instead, she's an Emberwrym, the most powerful kind of fire dragon in the world-and the last of her kind. But will she manage to get through middle school with her powerful new abilities? Or will her raging flames get the better of her?
