Cosmic Vision Club: Part 1_Vol.3: The Chosen One

Chapter 12.1: A New Dawn

Chapter 12.1: A New Dawn

Mar 30, 2026

As Skyler began to fade, a faint smile curved upon his lips—
the smile of someone who had just closed the final page of his own story with pride.

He left nothing behind but intention. And a choice strong enough to bend the fate of the cosmos.

On the other side, Fergo’s roar was a wounded beast.
His fury was no longer a weapon—it was fire consuming himself.
His spirit was forced out, torn from the future vessel of Skyler,
and for the first time, the demon retreated in shambles, stripped of its dignity.

Roxy stood frozen, as if the entire universe had halted in her wake. Her eyes fixed on the billions of glowing particles drifting across the sky—the final fragments of the boy who had walked through every dimension.

“…No. This isn’t real… Skyler, what have you done?” Her whisper trembled, as though speaking it aloud would carve the truth in stone.

Zoe collapsed to her knees, tears streaming without end. “Roxy… save him… please…” Her voice shook so violently they were barely sound.

Roxy clenched her jaw, her heartbeat quivering in ways she had never felt before. “I… I can’t do anything anymore. He’s… he’s gone.”

“There has to be a way! At least… the Mirror Dimension—anything… please!” Zoe’s cry was not to her sister, not to the world, but to a god she already knew did not exist.

Then Roxy’s very being honed, despair igniting into clarity. “Yes! If that’s true, then—”

She unleashed everything she had left. Her Imaginary Dimension erupted, unfolding in an instant: a colossal prism-box suspended above the world.

Every memory of Skyler she carried—his laughter, his battles, his arguments, his trust—all of it melted into raw energy, compelling the scattered particles to draw together once more.

“Zoe! The rest is up to you!” Roxy’s voice thundered across the dimension.

The chosen girl shot forward without hesitation. She floated into the Imaginary Dimension, where Skyler’s translucent form quivered on the brink of vanishing forever.

“Please… come back…”

The words brushed from her lips carried Gaia’s power.
Cosmic motes shimmered, drifting gently into his body.

Light threaded its way inward, converging at the center of his chest—the place where nothing should have remained. Still, Skyler did not stir.

Zoe locked away the world. She knew the power she gave could never be reclaimed—and she was willing to surrender it all, for him, for him alone.

At that very moment, Fergo’s spirit tore loose from the shadows—a black flame of will, streaking toward Trinity’s unguarded body. The wraith burned thin as vapor, yet struck with the force of a falling meteor.

“Over my dead body!”

Emilia’s weapon transformed, reshaping into a massive railgun. She fired, unleashing a gravitational blast that cracked the air itself.

[Status: EMILIA]

  • Skill Activated: Graviton Vortex Blast (Ultimate)

  • Effect: Slows enemy motion by 80% | Pierces incorporeal forms

The shot lanced straight into Fergo’s spirit, wrenching its form apart.

Len emerged from the shadows, ice cascading into geometric prisms. They locked into place, forming a crystalline dome that sealed the malignant wraith inside.

But the construct trembled.
It cracked.
It shattered apart under Fergo’s force.

Roxy tried to rise, but her knees buckled. She had poured almost everything into her Imaginary Dimension. Her strength was nearly gone—yet her will blazed fiercer than ever.

At that very moment, Trinity stirred. The darkness Fergo had stolen from him—he reclaimed it without apology.

“What you borrowed… I’m taking back. With interest.”

He raised his hand. The raw shadow within him fractured into a thousand blades, each one plunging into Fergo’s spirit at once.

The wraith laughed madly—then shed its form entirely. It warped and swelled into the Nightfall Behemoth, a mountain-sized silhouette of midnight. The earth split into concentric fractures beneath its weight. Its roar thundered to the horizon, shaking heaven and ground alike.

“Die!”

Zoe launched upward, her twin foxfire blades igniting as she dove into the monster’s chest at the precise moment it inhaled.

[Status: ZOE]

  • Limit Break: Foxfire Rebirth Blade

  • Combo Chain: x17

  • Effect: DoT inflicted. Defense -50%

Yet nothing happened. The behemoth simply swatted her aside, sending her crashing into the earth, broken and struggling to rise.

It lifted its colossal foot, intent on crushing everything—and the world seemed ready to end.

Until…

A blinding flarestorm erupted from the sky.
The code of the universe rewrote itself pixel by pixel.

A figure emerged from the blaze of Gaia’s will.
A young man reborn.

[Status: SKYLER]

  • Level: ??? (Beyond)

  • Class: Quantum Hacker

  • HP: FULL

  • Skill Unlocked: Fifth-Dimensional Override

  • Status Effect: Resonance with Gaia (+9999 INT, +9999 SPD, Immunity to Corruption)

He unfolded into stillness and placed one foot forward—onto empty air. The void held his weight as solidly as stone.

The heavens split open. Quantum displays layered around him, flooding with infinite parameters, every stat, every weakness of the behemoth calculated to the last decimal.

“Monster level 109? Fine. Let’s just… delete this.”

He drew a finger through the interface, erasing the creature’s Defense code in real time.

The behemoth froze. Its gaze snapped to Skyler—too late.

He extended his hand, threads of algorithm cascading from his fingertips.

[System Command: Disassemble Target by Quantum Thread]

The scream that followed belonged to both Fergo and the demon, tearing apart at once.

Gaia’s energy unraveled strand by strand from its body.
Skyler rewrote them on the fly—debugging existence itself—reversing the stolen currents back into the Tree of Life.

[Achievement Unlocked: Rewrite the End]

  • You have overwritten the fate of existence

  • Bonus Skill: Universal Root Access

The giant body shrank, collapsing into streams of quantum dust until nothing remained but a flickering afterimage on the shattering screens.

The final roar decayed into static… then silence.

Only Fergo’s spirit lingered—formless, faceless.

Zoe and Roxy wasted no time. Their weapons aimed directly at his path.

Trinity, Emilia, and Len locked into flanking positions, precision sharp enough to choke every escape.

“You fools don’t understand! Everything I did—was for this universe!” Fergo’s spirit raged, hurtling toward them once more, this time to claim Len’s body.

Roxy’s mirror-dimension barrier flared, ricocheting his attack back into himself, spinning the wraith off balance. “You won’t play that trick on us again!”

Emilia’s graviton rifle locked on. Len ignited their full ice-dimension arsenal. Trinity’s palms pressed together, compressing a cyclone of shadow around Fergo, sealing every way out.

A hush fell over the battlefield.

Zoe drew breath first. Her spirit lifted skyward—toward the boy with azure hair suspended in midair.

Not a dimension’s wielder anymore.

Because Skyler was the dimension itself.

Skyler stepped back into formation, standing at the center line of the battlefield.

Zoe reached into her dimensional pocket and pulled something forth. She handed it to him without a word.

“…The Lance of Longinus!?” Skyler’s breath caught, his palms slick with sweat the instant he gripped the weapon’s God-Tier energy.

The HUD in his vision spiked, overflowing with warnings and numbers.

[SKYLER STATUS: MAX POWER — WEAPON EQUIPPED: LANCE OF LONGINUS — TARGET LOCKED]

He raised the spear. Its cosmic tip burned through the darkness, tearing the veil that once wrapped creation itself.

“You’re no god, Fergo. You’re nothing but a bug in this universe’s code.”

With every ounce of strength he had left, Skyler hurled the spear.

The resulting shockwave roared so violently that the ground convulsed, splitting in jagged fault lines. HUDs across every ally’s display blinked crimson from the sheer force.

[ULTIMATE MOVE EXECUTED: DIMENSION BREAKER]

Fergo didn’t flinch. Hatred blazed from within as the Lance tore toward him.

“This won’t be the end!!!” he howled for the last time—before the cosmic radiance consumed his spirit entirely. Nothing remained.

Skyler lowered the weapon, sweat dripping from his chin was the last grains of sand in an hourglass.

“…It’s over.”

The aftermath lingered, heavy in the air. The battlefield lay scarred beyond recognition, fractured earth etched with the cost of their struggle. Their breaths rose and fell in ragged unison—a silence so deep it didn’t need words.

They stood together at the edge of survival. Then one by one, exhaustion claimed them. All six collapsed onto the ruined ground, laughter breaking free at the same time—laughter of people who had fallen and risen, feared and dared, lost everything yet returned alive against all odds.

Trinity walked slowly to sit beside Len, every step carrying the weight of what he was about to say.

“…I’m sorry. About your parents.” His tone wavered, raw in a way no one had heard before. “I know words will never be enough. But I will spend the rest of my life proving it to you.”

Len did not answer at once. They only lifted their head. For the briefest moment, the steel that bound them cracked. “…Thank you.”

The word slipped out, followed by tears cutting paths down their face. “Thank you… for being here. For trying.”

Emilia knelt beside them, wrapping both in an embrace. She didn’t speak—she simply let warmth do what words could not.

Moments later, the colossal Tree of Life reawakened, towering over the shattered plain. Its trunk shimmered with radiant aura before splitting open, unfurling into gateways of aether.

Three portals. Three paths.

The First Gate: Eden
Trinity and Len stood still. They didn’t say farewells. Instead, they crossed with Skyler’s spirit and bowed their heads—a brief, wordless gesture carrying more weight than a thousand sentences.

Emilia stepped forward and pulled Skyler into a firm embrace. Her heartbeat thudded so strongly he could feel it, yet her eyes glimmered with an unshakable calm. “You’ve done well… my little one,” she whispered, stroking his back gently.

Skyler smiled faintly, returning the hug with quiet warmth. “We made it this far because we did it together. Thank you… for everything.”

She eased her arms away, then tilted her head ever so slightly, beckoning him to lean closer. Her lips brushed near his ear, whispering something no one else—not even Gaia—could hear.

Shock froze him; crimson rushed to his ears, his expression torn between disbelief and a dawning realization greater than hacking the fabric of the cosmos.

Before he could respond, Emilia kissed him lightly on the lips, her face impassive like nothing had happened. A quick wink followed, playful and secretive, and then she turned—walking calmly after the other two into the portal.

They vanished, leaving Skyler standing in stunned silence… as if his entire operating system had just been patched with a code he’d never seen before.

The Second Gate: New Lamuna Valley
Roxy and Zoe stood side by side, holding Skyler close, as though freezing this final moment of him into memory.

Zoe moved first. She hugged him hard, shoulders trembling—the tough girl façade cracking, tears the truth beneath. “I’ll miss you, Sky…” she murmured, tilting her face up. Her familiar grin trembled under the tears streaming down her cheeks.

Roxy said nothing—just a slow, resolute nod before stepping into the portal without looking back.

Zoe’s embrace loosened reluctantly. She whispered one last line, soft as a promise, “See you again…”

And then she, too, dissolved into the radiance.

The Final Gate: Cosmic City
Skyler stood alone. The battlefield was gone, replaced by the quiet radiance of Gaia towering behind him—the embodiment of everything he had fought for, protected, and chosen to sacrifice for.

He inhaled deeply, fuller than any breath he’d ever taken. “Thank you. For every chance… for every meaning… for everything.”

He didn’t wait for Gaia’s reply. He already carried it, etched in every heartbeat of what they had endured.

At last, he turned and stepped forward into his own portal.
The light swallowed him whole.
