MET AGAIN, BUT NOT HIM!

Chapter 1— The Night That Shouldn't Exist

Chapter 1— The Night That Shouldn't Exist

Jan 12, 2026

On the empty highway, a cold wind was blowing fiercely, a wind that whispered warnings... warnings that no one could hear.

Inside the small silver car, Yunse's hands tightened on the steering wheel. His breath was trembling, not from fear—

but from the weight of the woman beside him.

Sizu.

Her head rested lightly against the window, one hand protectively placed on her swollen belly.

Eight months.

Just one more month, and their baby would arrive.

"Hold on, Sizu. We're almost there," eunsae whispered, wiping the sweat from his brow. His heart was pounding faster with each passing second.

They were being followed.

He didn't want her to know.

The road curved into a dark, wooded area. That's when he saw it again—

Headlights. Too close. Too fast.

His breath hitched.

"No... not now—!"

The black SUV behind them accelerated, its engine roaring like a monster thirsting for blood.

Eunsae's hand moved instantly—

one hand on the steering wheel,

the other protectively on Sizu's stomach, shielding the baby before the danger even arrived.

"Sizu! Wake up—"

Her eyes slowly opened, confused, unfocused.

"Y-yes? Eunsae... what's wrong?"

He forced a smile, trying to keep his voice steady.

"Nothing. Just... hold my hand. Don't let go."

She didn't understand the fear in his eyes, but she still gripped his fingers tightly.

And then—

The impact.

The world spun.

Metal shrieked.

Glass shattered like a shower of stars.

The silver car spun violently, crashing into the roadside barrier. Sizu's scream echoed in the night—

But Eunse's voice was louder.

"Sizu, save the baby!!"

She twisted her body, completely shielding her as the car rolled over.

Her hand was crushed by the window, but her other arm remained around her stomach, holding on tightly—

Instead of saving herself,

she chose to save them both.

Another crash.

Then silence.

A cold, heavy silence.

A soft, wet warmth dripped onto Sizu's cheek. She blinked weakly, her vision blurry. “…Eun…se…?”

Her face was inches from hers—

But still.

So quiet.

Her heart ached.

She tried to touch her, but her fingers trembled.

“H-hey… open your eyes… please…”

Her voice broke.

She couldn't hear her breathing.

She touched her cheek—

Warm.

But growing cold.

Blood was matted in her hair.

Her vision blurred, memories flashing like fading lights.

“No—no, Eunse—don’t leave me—don’t go—”

Her lips moved slightly, a last breath escaping.

“S…save… our baby…”

Her tears blurred everything.

Her hand clutched at her coat—

And then—

Darkness completely swallowed her.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

A rhythmic sound pulled her back to consciousness.

The sharp smell of disinfectant.

A bright light above her.

Sizu's eyelids fluttered open.

A hospital.

Her throat felt dry, her head heavy. She tried to move, but her body refused. Then—

A soft crying sound.

The sound of a baby crying.

Her eyes shifted to the right, and she saw a nurse bringing a small, swaddled baby towards her.

A baby boy.

Her breath caught in her throat.

It felt as if the world had stopped.

“Who… is… this…?”

The nurse smiled gently.

“Congratulations. A healthy baby boy. You’re both very lucky to be alive.”

Shizu blinked in confusion.

“Wh-who… who is the father…?”

The nurse frowned.

“Miss… you don’t remember?”

A warm wave of panic washed over her.

“I… I don’t remember…”

A doctor entered, flipping through a chart. ( About her )

“Miss Shizu, you suffered a head injury in the accident. You had loss so much blood from accident

You’ve loss your memory of the past 2 years.”

Two years.

The time she had met Eunsae.

Loved him.

Trusted him.

Ran away with him.

All gone.

The doctor sighed softly.

“No one has come forward to identify the father. Your family says… that man left you before the accident.”

Shizu’s heart sank.

Left her?

Had someone loved her?

Had someone died? Or… had someone abandoned her?

The doctor gently placed the small baby in her trembling arms.

“What will you name him?”

She looked at the small, warm, innocent child.

Something whispered from within her—

A name she didn’t remember remembering.

“…Rio.”

The baby opened his eyes for the first time—

Soft, warm brown eyes.

Just like his father’s.

But she didn’t recognize them.

She didn’t remember anything.

She hugged him tightly, her voice barely a whisper.

She fainted again

What happen doc? Why did she faint again?

It's seems she's sleepy let her rest...

Whe she wake up tell her about the baby she named him ryo and explain about her memory loss.. ok

Yes doc..

Bow to doc

Doc leave from room

“It’s just you and me now.” Outside the room,

a man like a shadow slipped out of the hospital, dialing a phone number.

“The job is done. He doesn't remember anything.”

He paused briefly.

“Yes. The man is dead.”

He paused again.

“And the child?

He named him Rio.”

Click.

The darkness swallowed the truth
