"A tall latté will be fine," she answered "with 2 shots espresso."

The barista, a Hispanic teenager, made the order as Shikhiro gave him the money. "Haven't I seen you from somewhere? Jonathan Gabacho, is it? Is your dad's taqueria still open?" he asked the Latino teen. "Were you in my algebra class last year?"

"I was, and yes, it's still open; it's open from 7:00 am-10:00 pm. Also, I saw you mop the floor with that bully in said classroom. I won my bet, too!" Jonathan gave the 2 their drinks and Shikhiro's pumpkin bread. 

Shikhiro and Aokiya sat near a window. "So, I see you like Mega Scrafty. My favourite Mega Evolution is Mega Lucario Z; my other favourite Pokémon is Quaquaval."

"My favourite is Zangoose." She sipped her latté, smiling. "My mom calls every Pokémon I show her, 'Pikachu!'" she laughed.

"My dad is struggling on competitive battling. He also struggles with his tablet I bought him for his birthday." Shikhiro's coffee cooled down; he started chugging it like he hasn't drunk anything in days. "I'm a caffeine addict, but I support my own habit. Also, where do you work? I work as an assistant coach at an MMA gym across town every Monday-Thursday; Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are my off days."

"I work at a café that's 3 buildings down from here; I have the same off days and work days as you do." Aokiya drank a little more of her coffee.

Shikhiro then asked, "What music genres do you listen to? I listen to EDM, rap (mostly trap, drill, grime, and Southern hip-hop), modern pop, modern rock, anime songs, dancehall, and a pinch of everything else."

"I can listen to pretty much everything, mostly rock, pop, and anime music." 

Shikhiro then ate the last of his burnt orange-coloured bread that's been topped with pumpkin seeds. "One of my favourite groups is Creepy Nuts; I wanna see them live one day! My favourite tracks from them are 'Nidone', 'Nemure', 'Otonokie', and 'Bling-Bang-Bang-Born."

"Oh, you like Creepy Nuts, too, eh?" Aokiya turned giddy. "We should get together and see the two one day." 

"That can be arranged. Also, which school are you going to tomorrow? I'm going to Tōtsuki International; I used to go to another school for a part of last year -- till I got expelled for fighting, even though I was the one being bullied. The principal turned both of us away. Anyways, I gotta go; I'll see you tomorrow."

"Bye, Shikhiro," Aokiya said, waving at him.
