Noah invited me to meet his college friends. They had a dinner planned to catch up cause apparently, they have all been busy for a while. I told him it seemed important and I shouldn’t intrude, but he told me that he wouldn’t have offered if he wasn’t okay with whatever my response may be. That was strangely weird to consider; it always seems like there’s a correct answer when people offer or ask about stuff. I agreed to go after that. Mainly because I was curious about what his friends would be like. I tried to dress up nicely, but I still had limited options, so I was worried it wasn’t enough.
There were already three of them there when we arrived, we were a little late because of me, but none of them seemed to mind. They greeted Noah with hugs and I was introduced. I don’t remember all of their names, I’ve always sucked at remembering names, but I know one of them was called Em. I remembered it because of how poorly it seemed to fit her personality. She had a big presence, being the loudest one with bright clothes and big bushy hair. It was a bit intimidating at first, I was so used to quiet at the apartment. The other two were more chill. One of them had super long straight black hair in a braid and she looked the most put together of us all, she had manicured nails and these really cool sunglasses that sat on top of her head and never even slipped throughout the night. The last one there before us was a tall guy with half-rimmed glasses and thin locs twisted into a bun.
