*It was very early in the morning and Ravyn was still just laying in bed inside her cell. She was waiting for Mimi to get there to get her out, as today is the start of the probation period, or more her sentence, where she needs to work with the adventure team to “redeem” herself.*

Ravyn: I am boreeeed… *grabs a ball out of her pocket dimension and throws it into the air, catching it repeatedly*

*Mimi was waking up and getting ready for the day and goes to the main room to talk to the others.*

Silver: sooo, we’re getting my sister today from the jail, correct?

Mimi: correct, though it’s better if only one goes so we don’t overwhelm Ravyn. Ravyn will get a lot of information during the day after all.

Xara: well, we will see how this goes…….. Why even were we chosen?

Mimi: from what I understood, it’s because we happened to have a familiar face in our team. They thought it would be best if we are the ones trying to do this and get Ravyn to turn a better leaf.

Silver: I’m still shocked she even went this route….

Maria: yea! Your childhood stories made it seem like Ravyn could not even hurt a fly! That she was more pacifistic than anything!

Silver: That’s the thing. She was! When she was young, she would never hurt anyone, even when she was hurt herself.
The head of the royal guard who trained her even had problems with her, mainly because Ravyn refused to actually fight back.

Meli: it’s rather simple. Something was bottling up, and then it exploded, causing the massive shift in her personality regarding it.

Silver: seems like it…. I do wonder what finally broke her in the end… I don’t think I will get that out of her unfortunately!

Mimi: most likely she is already somewhat aggressive toward people, and at minimum she is passive-aggressive toward people.

Silver: Ravyn is by nature not someone who trusts people easily, so that kinda checks out.

*They all start walking to the jail, but they collectively decide it’s Mimi who will go inside.*

Xhara: say Silver, you mentioned that Ravyn was not a vampire? What is she then?

Silver: she’s only my half sibling! And she is a greater basilisk demon hybrid, *she emphasizes the greater part as some ability between them.*

Yito: so, a greater basilisk…. We need to keep that one definitely in mind, considering their abilities are slightly different from a normal basilisk’s abilities!

Silver: that’s why I emphasized that part, Yito!

Yito: I know, I know, don’t worry there, Silver.

*They arrive at the jail that’s holding Ravyn.*

*She enters and goes to the front to state her business.*

Mimi: hello, I am here to get Ravyn. I am part of the adventure team that she will go with. *Takes out her ID and her adventure guild ID, and the guard checks it in his system and then lets her go through, and another guard takes her to where Ravyn is.*

Guard: we have no idea how she even got that ball. She just made it appear somehow out of nowhere.

Mimi: huh? But this jail blocks people’s use of magic.

Guard: correct, so she should not have even been able to access her pocket dimension.

Mimi thinks: either she’s stronger than we expected and her magic goes beyond the blocking, or she did it somehow in a different way….

Ravyn: or I just know how to circumvent them, ever thought about that??

Guard: per the agreement, anything that belongs to you will be returned, including weapons….. And the withered weapon you own.

Ravyn: chill, I stole it from a Death Trust member when I got attacked by them, and the weapon is useful for breaking barrier spells.

Mimi: you do know they are heavily regulated???

*The guard brings all her stuff to her, and she desummons the main weapon and puts on the pouch where the knife is and slides it to her back.*

Ravyn: well, I am ready with whatever ya want to do with me!

*Ravyn follows her outside, and once they are outside she first of all gets a hug from Silver.*

Silver: god, I missed you, even though you clearly changed…

Ravyn: you too, and also I still don’t like hugs, Silver…

*Silver takes in Ravyn’s appearance more* have you been using corrupted magic???

Ravyn: yes? I always had an interest in it and I used the chance to practice it more with uhhh *shows her gray hands*, you can tell I have been using it for a while.

Silver: also a withered weapon? Why??

Ravyn: again, stole it from someone, and it’s a good weapon to make sure someone stays dead :)

Mimi: while we walk back, we will introduce ourselves, except Silver because you obviously know her. *They all start walking.*

Athi: I’m Athi, I mainly do the paperwork! I’m more a physical fighter, and I’m also very open to helping with anything you might need!

Maria: yes! I got cursed a long time ago, it’s ironically how I got interested in them! And before you ask, yes, I can see slightly blurry at moments, but I’m used to it :D

Meli: I’m Meli! A Fearseher as my eyes tell you, but I’m more physical if anything. I focus on the business side of having this group!

Xara: I’m Xara and I make sure people stay healthy and on top of things!

Ravyn: you have a medical license?

Xara: correct, I do in fact have one! I also work part-time at the hospital near our main base!

Ravyn: good to know…

Xhara: I am Xhara. Yes, my name is very similar to Xara, I have an H in my name though, so X-H-A-R-A. I am a demon cow divine, to make that one clear! Kestalic demon in case you want to know…

Ravyn: I am a Kestalic demon myself, but I failed the genetic lottery and only have one vector to work with.

Xhara: better than none! I have like 5 myself.

Yito: I am Yito. I am the main strategist of the team. I do the planning and all around it.

Silver: you already know me, but role-wise I am the one who tracks people down, and I have to say I was damn good at tracking you down.

Ravyn: that’s true, you were very good at that part. Capturing me was a different story. *Giggles* Only took people 30 years. She puts her hood up, people outside started staring at her.

Mimi: we have arrived! I’ll bring you to where you are going to be living! We own the whole land, the few buildings are placed on it Actually! So everyone has their little house here, but we also have a small apartment building there for any guests we might have. The house that’s free currently is this one. That will be the one you will stay at. It already has furniture, but feel free to change them over time and make it your home! We also made a kids’ room for your child in there and childproofed it as best as possible. In case you’re wondering, child services will bring your kid to you tomorrow, as they deemed you fit as a parent despite what you did.

Yito: mainly due to our statements and also due to the fact that Galaxy seems really well taken care of, also she started to freeze stuff, and they want her kinda gone. *Giggles*

Ravyn: she WHAT?!?!?

Silver: she seems to have ice powers….. You didn’t know?

Ravyn: Silver, children don’t manifest magic until they’re like 8–10!!! SHE IS 2 YEARS OLD!!!! I didn’t manifest my magic until I was 6 years old!

Silver: ……oh Nexus.

Ravyn: okay, I’ll deal with that later and something I definitely will look into.

Mimi: another thing, we will get you the next day as they bring Galaxy to the main building there. *Points to it.*

Xara: also you will meet the last member of the group, Alberto! He was busy today so he could not come with us.

Ravyn: okay?

*Mimi gives Ravyn the keys to her house and the main building.*

Ravyn: well, later then. *Ravyn goes into the house, takes off her shoes and looks at everything.* Rather basic, but I can live with that. *She checks the kids’ room.* Huh, they did childproof it heavily, that’s good to know, especially considering Galaxy is blind… *She looks at the window, which had a nice place she could most likely make cozy, and she puts some pillows there, she takes off her coat and lays there to look outside. Ravyn takes out her phone and writes to Silver.*

Ravyn: is there a reason why the decor is green?

Silver: blame Xhara for that one, she was in charge of the decor so it became a lil too much green 😅 I apologize, like Mimi said you can change it however ya want

Ravyn: I didn’t say it was bad, just a tad bit too much green, that’s all 😂 there’s worse decor

Silver: when you see Blair’s decor, ya going to be happy yours is the way it is

Ravyn: oh god, she does not have a taste for decor at all, I already know that…
