Alongside the last flickers of Anuck’s life, the magical cyclones melt into the air. These artificial disasters’ reign has disturbed the cave’s tranquillity, garnering widespread attention. The lakes quiver, and the winds halt as a gigantic wolf’s head rises above the land.
“So, the cowardly ruler crawls out and dares to disturb my natural order. Is this wasteful display Omori’s way of challenging me, the disciple of the wolf God?” I shall no longer allow such impudence to steal breath in this sacred cave.” The Divine Wolf’s intense disdain manifests as a golden light, expelling all impurities from his form. The earth quakes in accordance with Scrowl’s every step. The shaking earth reveals the Wolf Wost, known by the title Vanishing Fur.

The earth calms and the air rages as powerful words flow sharply, “Your concealing technique has faltered, Wost, for what reason have you come? For what reason do you delay that old fool’s demise?”
“I do agree the bat lord Omori is due for his final hour, nor do I doubt your superiority. However, he is not alone. It appears he crawled into the light to claim the Eviction Ant Colonies Queen after his army began faltering. Such a battlefield is dangerous to brave alone,” relays Wost, unfaltering under their leader’s immense pressure. Wost cautiously observes Scrowl’s expression, preparing strategies for if the worst were to pass.
“First your concealment to the eye, now your concealment to unease,” comments Scrowl, invoking a temporary fear in Wost before stating “, One hour, otherwise known as one thousand clicks, I grant you to prepare, Commander of the Vanishing Fur.”

“Your Majesty, War report! Approximately 90 clicks ago, a new foe, assumed to be the invading forces' lord, appeared on the battlefield. Forces have taken heavy damage!”
Without much delay, Aritsu declares, “Rotate out any injured troops and assemble all free, defiant and general class individuals. Work on isolating and weakening the lord. If victory proves impossible, report back immediately.” The general nods routinely before scampering to fulfil its directive. Queen Aritsu continues working on strategies, but stops when she hears another set of feet. She turns around, wondering why the next messenger has come ahead of their schedule. Bursting into the chamber rather rudely comes another general, “War Report! Scouts have sighted,”
“Insolence! Not only do you break my messaging routine, but you also forget to show even a drop of respect.” Admonishes Aritsu, ready to fully vent her stress upon the general.

“War Report! 190 clicks ago, scouts sighted the wolves preparing to mobilise! Average individual level estimated general to defiant level, led by a behemoth estimated equal or greater than the bat’s lord!” frantically shouts the general, prepared to receive punishment for her outburst. Having heard the news, any plans for venting blew away, and the general’s sense of panic became mutual.
“How long… how long do I have?” meekly questions the Queen, believing her life and colony to depend on the answer.
“Reports claim their intent to mobilise in 800 clicks, travel time is estimated at several hundred.” This report of time clearly relieves the Queen, a fanatical glint sparking within her eyes.
Queen Aritsu begins tapping while murmuring “I can live, I have time…” then turns around saying “Fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth, tenth. Dedicate a horde of workers and soldiers to stalling the wolves. If possible, isolate their leader somewhere heavy with the dead. I permit the usage of ‘Vengeance’ and ‘Defiance’, do not disappoint me!” From seemingly nowhere, several defiants appear, bow and disperse. Alone once again, she rests against a wall, wondering aloud, “Is it finally time for you to awaken and burn away your life, Grant?”

“I expected something more from these ants, yet they’re nothing special,” thinks Scrowl while squashing the last ant of the group. He notices how they were lured to an area full of corpses away from the battlefield. “Brethren, the ants lured us here as they fear our participation in battle! We shall now set forth to” proudly begin Scrowl before being pushed back. Separating Scrowl at blistering speeds was a giant wave made of ants with such numbers that he couldn’t escape. Seeing their leader being ambushed, the wolves move to help, but are suddenly blocked. This ant group contains far fewer members, but each one is larger and more powerful.

In response to the ambush, one of the wolves burst out laughing before joyfully declaring, “Now this is what I love! Finally, we have ants worth fighting! Wost, I’m sure our leader would appreciate backup. Take some guys with ya and leave this to me and Talf!” This declaration caused other wolves to wear creeped out expressions, while Talf could only sigh.
“You heard the battle junkie Rawl, any here who aren’t confident run along to help Scrowl!” exclaims one of the three wolf commanders, Talf. Some wolves chose to go with Commander Vanishing Fur Wost, while some of the stronger individuals remained. “If we weren’t both commanders, everyone would avoid you, Rawl,” comments Talf while preparing for battle.
“I trust you’ll manage defence splendidly, everyone’s favourite Steel Fur Talf,” mockingly retorts Rawl as his smirk intensifies.
“Yeah, yeah, I’ll be fine. Everyone! Watch out for those five red-eyed freaks; something tells me they’re dangerous. If you're forced to engage one, do your best to stall it until me and Rawl…” he began before being body slammed by one of the defiants.

War Wolf Rawl follows the motion of his friend, seeing a blur for the first time in his slowed world. Within milliseconds, he goes to kill the impudent ant, yet quickly blocks the attack of another. Staring at the bloody eyes of the defiant Rawl’s glee skyrockets. Scanning the battlefield, he notes two of the strong ants had engaged the wolves, one had gone for Talf, and he had one in a clash. Sensing the presence of the last one, he simultaneously activated ‘Battle Boost Lv. 2’ and ‘War Spirit Lv. 1’, allowing him to win the clash before intercepting. Using the time he bought by deflecting both he dashes towards Talf and launches the defiant away.
“You holdin’ up alright, you seemed to be struggling?” he questions as Talf shakes off the pain. All three of the defiants launch attacks on Rawl before a horrendous howl rings out. Those who were about to attack Rawl were violently thrown at Talf after being enraged by his skill ‘Hated Howl Lv. 1’. Rawl charges at their behinds, systematically inflicting wounds on each ant. “Why the hell are those things so hard? It takes my full effort just to break them exoskeletons,” complains Rawl as Talf tanks while bolstering his defence with ‘Fortification Lv. 2’.
“No point in complaining, we have to hold out here until Scrowl returns, you're our battle maniac, fighting is the only option, isn’t it?” questions Talf while knowing the answer.
“You bet, never have I run from such a thrilling opportunity to play defence with you!”

The following work of fiction is a prequel story to the Tower of Exile. This work is not nessecary information for the original series but the added knowledge can change your perspective on events that occur in the main work. Each part of this volume occurs in the same continuity but can be enjoyed in any order for the most part.

Floating within a dimension of its own creation is an ancient tower that was accidentally created due to the actions of individuals from a once-magical world. This tower mysteriously "invites" the souls of the living to its door located within the "Cavern of Arrival" a vast place filled with magical creatures. Experience the stories of those forever changed by the influence of the tower in an unforgiving story where every action may lead to ruin.

Due to the nature of this website requiring me to split each chapter rather awkwardly into separate parts, I've decided to stop posting future parts here. The story will be accessible elsewhere under the same username, so to my two subscribers out there, if you need help accessing new content don't be afraid to contact me via discord ShadNya
