Kyle didn’t answer right away. He smiled — just a little.
P shifted, settling more comfortably into the sofa.
“You have to be careful what you wish for,” Kyle said lightly, blinking at him. “Some questions are better left unanswered.”
P raised a brow, intrigued, leaning in just enough to show he wanted to hear more.
“But,” Kyle continued, lowering his voice as he leaned closer, “if you’re ready for the answer… I have a proposal.”
P tilted his head, inviting him to go on.
“One truth,” Kyle said softly, “for one truth.”
P’s fingers traced slowly along Kyle’s leg as he answered.
“We had an agreement when we came up here,” he said. “If we do this, we’re breaking it — and I don’t break agreements.”
He tapped Kyle lightly on the tip of the nose as he finished.
“You don’t have to pretend with me,” Kyle replied calmly. “You don’t have to be someone you’re not. Like I said before, I know you have very clear limits — and you only cross them when you’re working. And right now, I believe you’re not working.”
P looked away, embarrassed, before answering.
“I’m not pretending,” he said quietly. “Haven’t you wondered why I chose you? Everyone could tell it wasn’t part of the plan for me to leave the stage. And if you think about it… there were a lot of people between where I was and where you were.”
“P, look at me.”
Slowly, P met Kyle’s gaze.
“You know it was never my intention to go down that road, right?” Kyle continued. “But you also know what happened on that stage. I’m not made of iron. And I don’t want to cross any of your limits — so think carefully about whether you want to go there.”
P didn’t answer, and the silence began to weigh on Kyle.
Was I too direct? Did I scare him?
I’ll probably never see him again… I just wanted to make the most of tonight.
“P… no pressure, okay?” Kyle said softly. “When you’re ready — and if you want to go there — you can touch me. I’ll respect your limits. And if you don’t want to, nothing changes. Your company is enough for me. That was the favor I asked for.”
P studied him, searching his face.
“Are you always this patient with people you want to take to bed,” he asked, “or is this just a character you play?”
Kyle let out a small breath. “I don’t know how to answer that. I’m sorry.”
P raised an eyebrow, unconvinced.
“If anything happens tonight,” Kyle added quietly, “you’ll be the first.”
“The first?” P started. “But—”
“Don’t,” Kyle interrupted gently. “I know what you’re going to say. I’m rich, the son of important people, and I probably have more money than you think. Because of that, I’ve always been surrounded by people who wanted something from me. So… it never happened.”
Something softened in P’s expression.
He moved closer — slow, deliberate — and pressed a brief, innocent kiss to Kyle’s lips.
Kyle didn’t touch P. He only returned the kiss with the same restrained intensity.
“P,” Kyle said softly, pulling back just enough to speak, “I’m not made of iron. If you want more than this, you need to tell me how far I can go. Which lines I’m allowed to cross.”
P didn’t answer right away.
He shifted, straddling Kyle’s lap with deliberate slowness, then spoke:
“The mask stays. And if I say bananas, you stop. Can we do it like that?”
“Bananas?” Kyle asked, genuinely confused.
“Yes,” P replied calmly. “It’s not something you usually hear when people are having sex. It’ll catch your attention. And you’ll stop.”
Kyle nodded — and didn’t waste any time.
His hands settled firmly at P’s waist, grounding him there, as his mouth returned to P’s with the desire he’d been holding back for far too long. P answered without hesitation, matching that hunger exactly — or maybe even surpassing it.
After that, the night stopped being careful.
