Omori stands hunched over, missing chunks of his flesh and bleeding profusely. He stares with faded vision at the monster that drove him to this, wondering where he went wrong. Was he overconfident? Was he weak? Would he lose this battle? No, his pride, despite being shattered, wouldn’t allow that. Out of all the bats, he alone broke through to a greater stage; he alone had lived countless generations; he alone could challenge Scrowl.
“Not… not to you… I-I won’t lose to something that just… appeared from nowhere. If I am going to die, it should… it should be by my rival’s… Scrowl’s claws!” weakly screams Omori while Calamity approaches. Gathering all his might, he breathes heavily despite pain and shrieks, “Ruler of the Night, Dwelling in the Caves, On this day, Let nightmares reign; Ultimate Magic: Nightmare Bat Hurricane!” A hurricane more powerful than earlier is released upon Calamity, tearing away and electrifying its flesh.

Through fuzzy vision, Omori sees his foe fall, his win secured as it's shredded and burned away. Overwhelming joy fills him as his vision fades, finally relaxing after having fallen to Calamity. Collapsing onto his chest, his eyes remain staring, yearning for the sight of Calamity’s charred corpse. It was in these moments that despair befell him, as walking out of his attack came the monster. It had no visible wounds and wasn’t smoking like his other victims. It just ignored his attack, destroying any pride he had left. Looming over him, Calamity seemed ginormous, far larger than anything Omori had ever seen. As muscles consumed him, Omori’s being was filled with just one thing: a deep desire to kill that grotesque monster.

“That thing, it truly is a monster. It died, didn’t it? Yet it kept fighting, then just devoured its opponent. How scary…” murmurs Aritsu while gazing upon Calamity’s hideous cocoon.
“Your highness, what should we do about that thing? I imagine if we leave it here, the bats will seek revenge.” Chirps the second defiant eviction ant Nint while wearing a face of disgust. Struggling to break free from the third defiant Aila’s hold, Ari attracts the attention of the others. Waving her leg, Aritsu permits her to speak.
“Mother, you can’t just leave Calamity-” hastily began Ari before having her head smashed into the ground. Scowling at Ari, Aila goes to apply more pressure, but lightens up upon seeing that her highness doesn’t mind the disrespect.
“Aila, Nint, we have a squad on standby, correct?” questioned Queen Aritsu as her expression softened. Seeing both her defiants nod in the affirmative, she orders Aila to take the squad to retrieve Calamity, advising to take Ari along to calm it.

Having seen Aila off as part of the retrieval squad, her elegant expression vanishes as her gaze met the woodlands. “Nint, if you had to fight something stronger than Omori, how long could you hold out?” questions Aritsu with an ominous tone.
“Even with the number of dead, I wouldn’t be able to hold out long. Five minutes would probably be my maximum, maybe twenty if I’m allowed to run while fighting.” States Nint as her gaze joins the Queen’s. Unbeknownst to the others who were retrieving Calamity, a danger far exceeding that of Omori had arrived on the battlefield.
“Do everything you can to buy time, Nint. I’ll muster the remaining troops at the nest. Remember your job is to stall, not to die.” Orders Aritsu as she began running, entrusting Nint with a vital mission as their bets are placed on Calamity.

“That old fool, to think he finally lost his life…” sombrely comments Scrowl while observing a hideous cocoon. A flicker of rage taints Scrowl’s mind, spawning the desire to avenge his long-lived rival. Combined with a profound hatred for those ants, Scrowl swears to exterminate them. “Those who stand here with me, do you share my hatred? These ants killed our brethren, disrespected their bodies, and fed them to that monster! Lend me your strength, lend me your lives. We show no mercy! Tear apart that cocoon and enact revenge for the fallen!” exclaims Scrowl as the wolf’s howl. Just as they began charging, their path was blocked. Standing in their way was Nint, the second defiant eviction ant.
“I can’t let them get past me until everyone is ready,” she thinks while activating her combat skills. Screeching and howling rang out, marking the beginning of the battle.

As the battle began, Nint focused on evasion but still almost lost a leg, making her realise how outclassed she is. She began creating some distance, but Scrowl didn’t allow that. Smashing the ground, he causes a shockwave, launching Nint into the air before slamming her. Waking up after having momentarily passed out, Nint stands up again, realising she can’t possibly fight them. So, she ran with all her might. Determined not to let her escape, Scrowl orders the wolves to give chase. Nint zigzags through the forest, constantly having to avoid attacks. “I-I can’t last... I’m sorry, your highness. I could only buy ten minutes,” thinks Nint while gasping for breath. Narrowly evading a surprise attack from Wost, Nint begins to sprint towards the nest. Praying the forces were ready, she arrived, diving into the nearest tunnel to catch her breath.
“So, she was a decoy to allow them to prepare? Wost, infiltrate their nest and destroy the cocoon. Everyone else! The ants are right in front of us, it’s time for an extermination!” declares Scrowl while observing the countless ants before him.

The following work of fiction is a prequel story to the Tower of Exile. This work is not nessecary information for the original series but the added knowledge can change your perspective on events that occur in the main work. Each part of this volume occurs in the same continuity but can be enjoyed in any order for the most part.

Floating within a dimension of its own creation is an ancient tower that was accidentally created due to the actions of individuals from a once-magical world. This tower mysteriously "invites" the souls of the living to its door located within the "Cavern of Arrival" a vast place filled with magical creatures. Experience the stories of those forever changed by the influence of the tower in an unforgiving story where every action may lead to ruin.

Due to the nature of this website requiring me to split each chapter rather awkwardly into separate parts, I've decided to stop posting future parts here. The story will be accessible elsewhere under the same username, so to my two subscribers out there, if you need help accessing new content don't be afraid to contact me via discord ShadNya
