“Wei! Yao! Zu! Get a hold of yourself!” Song Qingge hissed as she painstakingly dragged her Shidi over to where their Senior Siblings were waiting. Despite her repeated attempts to snap him out of this stunned state, Wei Yaozu remained stiff and unresponsive.

Anxiety began to grow in Song Qingge’s heart.

Wasn’t his response too extreme?! This went way beyond simply being nervous - Wei Yaozu couldn’t even move on his own anymore! Something had to be seriously wrong with him!

Just as Song Qingge thought this, Wei Yaozu suddenly fell to the ground like a stiff corpse, which completely terrified Song Qingge!

“Shixiong! Shijie! Someone, get Shizun! Something’s wrong with Wei Shidi!”

The two Seniors were immediately snapped out of their conversation at Song Qingge’s desperate cry and jumped into action.

“Shixiong, go get Shizun! I’ll stay here with Wei Shidi and Song Shimei!” Feng Wenling shouted before rushing over to were Wei Yaozu had fallen. 

Luo Jie didn’t argue with her and unsheathed his sword, using it to quickly fly away to find Yao Huizhong!

The moment Luo Jie was out of sight, the tension in Wei Yaozu’s body began to ease, and his eyes slowly fluttered open. He was greeted by the sight of Song Qingge and Feng Wenling looking down at him with worried expressions.

“Shijie, look! He woke up!” Song Qingge’s cry of relief grated on Wei Yaozu’s ears and made his head start to ache.

Feng Wenling put a finger over her lips to gently signal her Shimei to shush, before turning back to look at Wei Yaozu.

“Wei Shidi, you just suddenly collapsed” She explained to him in a soft voice “Please allow me to take your pulse-“

“There’s no need!” Wei Yaozu shouted before scooting away from his two Martial Sisters. “I don’t need help from the likes of you!”

There’s no way I’d ever accept help from that b*tch Feng Wenling!

…but what does she mean I suddenly collapsed? The last thing I remember was Shixiong arriving at the bamboo grove….

Dread suddenly stabbed through Wei Yaozu’s heart like a knife.

Don’t tell me I…collapsed because of that and completely embarrassed myself in front of Shixiong again!?!

While Wei Yaozu grappled with this dark reality, Song Qingge roughly grabbed him by his collar!

“Hey, Wei Yaozu, what do you mean by ‘the likes of you?!’ Don’t tell me you were referring to my Shijie!?” His words had greatly enraged Song Qingge. Wei Yaozu could insult her as much as she liked, she was used to it, but Feng Wenling was so amazing! How dare he insinuate that she was below him! He should be honored that she wanted to take his pulse!

Wei Yaozu, who was already extremely embarrassed after humiliating himself twice in one day, exploded at Song Qingge’s provocation.

“Who else would I be talking about, you idiot! I don’t want that harlot who’s always clinging to Shixiong to touch me! Even the thought of it disgusts me!”

“Wei Yaozu, do you want to die?! How dare you talk about my Shijie like that?!” Song Qingge began to violently shake Wei Yaozu in anger.

Wei Yaozu roughly shoved Song Qingge away and began to reach for the Fate Controlling Dagger.

How dare this girl scold me! Has she forgotten who I am?! I’ll kill her for this humiliation!

“You’re the one who wants to die! Don’t forget who you’re-“ but before he could finish his sentence, Song Qingge lunged at him and began throwing punches! Wei Yaozu was forced to use his arms to protect his face, and was thus unable to unsheathe the Fate Controlling Dagger in time. Luckily for him though, Feng Wenling intervened and managed to pull Song Qingge off of him.

“Song Shimei, calm down! He’s still a patient!” Feng Wenling said while pinning her Junior Sister's arms behind her. Song Qingge didn’t dare to struggle out of fear of hurting Feng Wenling, but she still verbally protested.

“But Shijie! You heard what he said about you! How can you let him off so easily?!”

Feng Wenling couldn’t help but let out a light laugh at her words.

“Shimei, haven’t you said worse things to me in the past? Your Senior Sister is used to these kinds of petty insults by now.”

“Just let it go for now, ok, Shimei?”

“But, Shijie-!” It wasn’t really me who said those things in the past! Song Qingge protested internally, but since she was unable to say this out loud, she could only nod and agree.

“Good girl, now, both of you kneel while we wait for Shixiong and Shizun to arrive.” 

Feng Wenling then gently released Song Qingge from her grasp. Her Junior Sisters face had turned red at her words, but she still kneeled obediently. 

Feng Wenling then turned to Wei Yaozu expectantly, who scoffed arrogantly but still kneeled next to Song Qingge. Now that some of his anger had worn off, he no longer dared to take out the Fate Controlling Dagger or cause any more trouble.

If I really kill Song Qingge right now, when his Shixiong comes back, he'll definitely find out and hate me for life.

Seeing Wei Yaozu follow her orders, Feng Wenling felt a small sense of relief. When her two Juniors had been fighting, she sensed killing intent emanating from Wei Yaozu, and she had been afraid that he would still insist on attacking Song Qingge. Luckily, it seemed like her Shidi still feared his elders and wouldn’t retaliate for now.

Feng Wenling didn’t even want to think about what might have happened to Song Qingge if she hadn’t been there. 

She decided to tell her Master to keep an eye on Wei Yaozu for the foreseeable future. Her new Shidi was definitely a bit mentally unstable, and he would need close guidance to prevent him from going down a dark path in the future.

When Luo Jie returned with Yao Huizhong, they were greeted by the sight of the two Juniors kneeling apologetically before their Senior Sister. Both Song Qingge and Wei Yaozu looked quite disheveled, their hair and robes were covered in grass and dirt, and Wei Yaozu even had a black eye!

Both Master and Disciple rushed over to the scene.

“A-Feng, what’s going on?” Yao Huizhong asked, but before Feng Wenling had a chance to answer him, Wei Yaozu pointed an accusatory finger at Song Qingge and said:

“Shixiong, she hit me.”

Song Qingge nearly lunged at Wei Yaozu once again.

Wei Yaozu, you were a stuttering mess in front of Shixiong before, but when you slander me, you can suddenly speak clearly?!

Something is definitely wrong with you!
