The moment I realized I was in an unfamiliar space, something massive crashed down on me.
A deafening sound slammed into my ears, and my vision went black.
It was so loud my ears felt blocked, a sharp ringing filling my head.
Everything was pitch-black.
Maybe because I couldn’t see anything, even the air seemed thin.
I couldn’t breathe.
I had no idea what was happening to me.
After some time passed, my eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness.
It was still black, but I could make things out.
At the same time, my breathing grew heavier, and the air around me felt damp, thick with every breath I exhaled.
There was a wall.
When I stepped closer, my fingertips brushed against a cold, glass surface.
It felt so cold it seemed like the chill might cling to my skin, and I quickly pulled my hand back.
Once I grasped the situation, the fear faded.
Anger took its place.
Who did this?
And why was I trapped here?
No matter how much I knocked on the hard glass wall, nothing changed.
It only made the sharp, brittle sound unique to glass.
It just made me more frustrated.
Then I noticed a gap near the bottom of the wall.
Light was seeping through.
I quickly crouched and slid my hand into the opening.
Normally, I might have thought about the danger of sticking my hand into a narrow gap like that.
But the moment I saw the light, any thoughts of caution vanished.
I just wanted to get out of this damp, suffocating space as fast as possible.
So I pushed my hand in and lifted with all my strength.
It was reckless—I hadn’t thought about what might happen next—
but surprisingly, the solid wall lifted easily.
Before I even had time to question it, I crawled forward and squeezed myself through the gap.
Outside.
Fresh air rushed in through my nose.
It carried the same unfamiliar smell from before.
Then I saw where I was.
A bedroom in an ordinary house.
No… not ordinary.
The space felt unreal, like it belonged to some enormous giant.
For a second, I wondered if I had drunk something like the potion from Alice in Wonderland.
That was how strange everything looked.
Nothing matched my sense of reality.
And then I realized.
The large glass wall that had trapped me—
was a ceramic mug.
