Chapter 11:
As gentle winds blew, Zokaro’s family continued their journey with Dhib. While the surroundings were calm, a loud commotion was suddenly heard on the other side of the road, followed by a powerful explosion.
They all moved toward the location to see what was happening, where they saw bandits attacking a caravan guarded by the royal army.
As Dazkor watched from afar, he noticed the emblem of the Serbika family, the crest of his friend’s family, which held great influence and power within the Kingdom of Reba. Dzekor turned to Rinma and said:
“Rinma, I’m going to help. Do not leave your place under any circumstances, and take care of the children.”
He then ran swiftly toward the bandits, while Rinma stood shocked, unable to understand the reason for his haste, especially since he wanted to hide himself and keep his identity unknown.
Zokaro observed carefully and began to recall something about the bandits: there was only one gang in this world whose level of power had grown extremely high, its members ranked among the elite in magic and abilities, and they were one of the reasons for the world’s downfall.
For this reason, Zokaro decided to eliminate these insects. He was here to rewrite and save the world and return the flow of events to its proper course. He wished that everything he was experiencing now was nothing more than a dream, and that he was merely in a long sleep.
Zokaro looked at Dhib, staring at him intensely, while Dhib did not know what to do, nor the reason behind Zokaro’s gaze.
Zokaro: “Dhib, go help my father. Why are you standing here? I want you to get rid of those insects.”
Dhib, in surprise: “Get rid of the insects? Do you mean that filthy group of humans who live at the expense of their own kind?”
Zokaro: “Yes. End them all. Make sure not a single one of them remains alive.”
Dhib: “Very well, my lord. But may I transform into my true form?”
Zokaro: “Fine. Do as you wish, as long as you eliminate them.”
Dhib grew excited with power, then turned toward Rinma:
“Mother of my lord, take good care of him.”
He then rushed at full speed toward the bandits.
On the other side, the royal guard army quickly fell before the bandits, whose level of magical energy was extremely high.
They took out the supplies and those inside the carriage: a couple, their daughter, and a maid. The gang leader laughed proudly:
“I can’t believe how lucky my day is! We’ve found a treasure. Today’s hostage is the Serbika family.”
Laughter echoed throughout the area as the heir of the Serbika family stepped forward:
“Listen, gentlemen. I am Tesbra, the heir of the family. Leave my wife and daughter unharmed, and let us settle this with whatever amount you want.”
The gang leader laughed, looked at Tesbra, then stepped forward and grabbed him by the neck with force:
“You are an insect. Today we will take all your possessions, understand? And you will never live.”
His men moved to seize his wife and daughter. Tesbra tried to break free from his grip but could not, and began to beg for them to spare his wife and daughter, but to no avail.
Suddenly, at great speed, Dazkor advanced and delivered a powerful upward kick to the gang leader’s right hand that was gripping Tesbra’s neck, causing him to fall to the ground. As the leader tried to rise, Dazkor attacked him with a blazing fireball, forcing him to retreat.
Within seconds, Dazkor rushed toward the rest of the men, rescuing his friend’s wife and daughter with swift attacks using his sword blade, until they collapsed to the ground.
Tesbra looked at Dazkor, happy to see his friend whom he had not met for a long time.
It was his good fortune to meet him, even if it was at the worst possible time for a reunion.
The world ended the moment his story became real.
Zokaro was a failed novelist who poured his life into a world no one cared to read.
After finishing his story, he believed everything was finally over.
Then the world collapsed.
When he opened his eyes again, he was no longer who he once was—
reborn into the very world he had created, surrounded by familiar faces that were no longer the same.
Monsters he once imagined now roam freely.
Characters he wrote now shape reality.
And the ending he knows is one where no one survives.
Armed with forbidden knowledge, a body that refuses to break,
and a darkness that slowly awakens within him,
Zokaro must decide whether to follow the fate he wrote—
or destroy the world again to rewrite it.
