People say they want what’s best for their child, but she won’t let her son wear a skirt, he won’t accept the fact that his daughter is now his son, and some parents won’t use gender neutral pronouns for their children. They all say they want their children to be happy and healthy, but sometimes all they really want is a smaller version of themselves. All children deserve parents, but not all parents deserve their children. That’s the sad truth of it all and maybe it’ll never change, but I can only hope that every child finds someone who understands.
