After embracing his disciples for a moment, Yao Huizhong suddenly remembered the matter of issuing punishments and finally took a step back.
“Ahem, so in light of A-Wei’s injury, I’ve decided to adjust his punishment. Instead of running a hundred laps, A-Wei and A-Song should copy the sect rules a hundred times together.”
Song Qingge, whose punishment had now suddenly doubled, couldn’t help but protest.
“But Shizun-”
“No buts!” Yao Huizhong said before shooting Song Qingge a wink. “You should both copy the rules together as a way to make up.”
Song Qingge had no idea why her Master had suddenly started blinking with one eye, but she didn’t dare question her Shizun any more in case he further increased the amount of rules she needed to copy.
“This Disciple understands…”
“Alright then, both of you should head to the Sect’s Disciplinary Hall right away. I’ll be sending them a message about your punishment, so don’t try to sneak away.” Yao Huizhong said with a pleasant smile that annoyed Wei Yaozu quite a bit.
“Oh, and A-Song, remember what you just promised me?” Yao Huizhong whispered to Song Qingge “Don’t fight with A-Wei anymore. You’re his senior sister now, so it’s your job to take care of him, ok?” He shot Song Qingge another ‘knowing’ wink before turning to Feng Wenling.
Song Qingge realized that an eyelash must’ve fallen into his eye.
“A-Feng, come with me, I want to discuss something with you.”
“Yes, Shizun.” Feng Wenling said as she hopped on her flying sword obediently.
Luo Jie once again felt a sense of crisis as the Eldest Disciple.
“Shizun! Do you have any orders for me?”
Yao Huizhong thought for a moment before answering.
“A-Luo, you are to work on your cultivation. The Inner Sect competition is coming up, so to improve your endurance, go run a hundred laps around the mountain.”
“...Yes, Shizun…”

After Yao Huizhong flew away with Feng Wenling, Song Qingge watched as Luo Jie dutifully ran off to follow his Master’s order.
“Do you know the way to the Disciplinary Hall? The book never mentioned how to get there.” Song Qingge asked as she turned back to face Wei Yaozu.
But to her surprise, she was met with the sight of Wei Yaozu brandishing the Fate Controlling dagger!
“Did you really think you’d get off with just Yao Huizhong’s punishment!?” Wei Yaozu hissed.
“You completely humiliated me in front of Shixiong! Give me one good reason I shouldn’t kill you right now!”
Wei Yaozu had held back his rage in front of Luo Jie, but now that he was gone, all his pent up anger finally spilled out. Song Qingge had really gone too far earlier, she even dared to punch him in the face! He definitely needed to teach her a lesson to retain his pride as a former Demon Lord! So, he had brought out the Fate Controlling dagger to remind her what could happen if she continued to work against him.
However, to his surprise, rather than begging for forgiveness, Song Qingge actually rolled her eyes at him!
“You’re still trying to scare me with that thing?” Song Qingge said with a scoff “Wei Shidi, you might have fooled me before, but I already figured out that thing is just a normal dagger.”
Wei Yaozu was so shocked he felt like he had just been struck by lightning!
“How did you find out?!” he sputtered.
“I actually wasn’t completely sure before, so thanks for confirming!” Song Qingge said with a smile that made Wei Yaozu’s blood boil. She ignored his glare and continued.
“But it was actually pretty obvious from the start now that I think about it… the book never mentioned you had such a powerful weapon, but at the time I just assumed that you had just obtained it off-screen.”
“Even if the dagger wasn’t real, I thought that you still retained your cultivation from your previous life and didn’t dare to provoke you. But our fight earlier disproved that. Since I was actually able to hurt you, I suspected that we must either be around the same level or that your current cultivation was lower than mine. Luckily for me, Shizun revealed the truth when he took your pulse earlier. You’re currently at the First Stage of Qi Gathering, right? So that means you’re two levels below me, since I’m at the Peak of Qi Gathering.”
“So even if you wanted to try and kill me with that thing, I'd probably be able to stop you…”
Wei Yaozu’s hand began to violently shake as his mind raced.
How could she have figured it out so easily?!
Should I still try to kill her?
If she tells Shixiong about my past life…
Wei Yaozu’s chest began to violently ache at this thought, and his vision began to swim, causing him to sway back and forth.
Seeing him becoming more and more unstable, Song Qingge rushed over and reached out a hand to steady him, but Wei Yaozu was still holding the Normal Dagger, and he haphazardly swung it at her, forcing Song Qingge to retreat a few steps.
Even though she had told Wei Yaozu that she would be able to defeat him, Song Qingge had no actual combat experience, so she was still afraid of getting sliced.
“Wei Shidi, calm down! You’re aggravating your injury!”
“Stay back! Even if your cultivation is currently higher than mine, I still have memories from my past life! Do you really think you can kill me so easily?!” Wei Yaozu shouted hysterically as he brandished the Normal Dagger wildly.
“I’m not trying to kill you! I’m just trying to help!” Song Qingge said, becoming a bit exasperated.
“Hahaha- HAHAHAHA!!” Despite knowing that Wei Yaozu was currently weaker than her, his crazed laughter still managed to send a chill down Song Qingge’s spine.
“Help me? Why would you help me?” Wei Yaozu spat. “You know about my past, you know I won’t be able to stop you from telling Yao Huizhong or Shixiong, so why would you help me?”
Song Qingge looked into his eyes, which had begun to well up with tears, and sighed internally.
Ah, this kid is really pitiful…
“I already promised to help you change your fate, so I won’t go back on my word. Plus, were both… y’know…” Song Qingge flicked her wrist to create the universal sign for gay.
Unfortunately, Wei Yaozu wasn’t from her universe.
“...Because we both have memories of our past lives?” he said, attempting to finish Song Qingge’s sentence.
“Well, that too,” Song Qingge said “But what I was going to say is that we’re both gay,if y’know what I mean?”
As a character from a novel set in Ancient China, Wei Yaozu still did not understand what she meant and shook his head.
“Oh right… how do I say it in an old fashioned way again…? Whatever, what I'm trying to say is that I like women, and you like men, so we should look out for each other!"
The Normal Dagger slipped out of Wei Yaozu’s hands at these words and fell softly into the grass.
“So you and Feng Wenling are actually together!?”
