The flame surged all over me like it was devouring me and then cracks appeared all around me, it was like reality was breaking apart. 

And then, it shattered, dissolving and then water flowed through, filling the endless abyss. 

The hex echoed:

[You have slain Twilight Wraith, Myriad illusion]

The unbearable cold of the water nearly drowned me, then the hex echoed loudly in my ear:

[All conditions have been met]

When I opened my eyes,

I wasn't in the Forgotten Spire anymore.

The first thing I noticed was the change in my surroundings—

It was quiet. dark and cold. 

Just like in the void before, I could stand but there was no solid ground.

I took a step, then another.

Everything seemed familiar, the hex's voice echoed out loud breaking the silence.

Without a thought he said yes. The hex responded to his answer.

My consciousness was pulled slowly till I lost control of my body.

Then I was in sunlight, standing, it felt familiar like I was seeing that scene again. The scent of grass and dew, the warm touch of sunlight on my skin and...

A warm delicate voice cut him short, someone the same size as it called him "oppa".

Night turned around, because he knew what it meant clearly. Oppa meant brother in Korean, and that meant...

As his eyes met her, tears filled his eyes, the one thing he forgot, the most important left after the chaos unveiled that day.

His only blood family was her. His twin sister, kim sa-rin. Her face wasn't clear like something was interfering. He tried to grab her but something pulled him back, like he wasn't supposed to interfere but he forced through it and grabbed her hand. Before he could pull her into his arms, the hex echoed

[Due to the strong interference of the seal, memory has ended].

The force pulled him back in an instant and then, he was back to the darkness . Warm tears filled his eyes, how could I forget, the only one who really understood me. Even though my heart was empty and hopeless, seeing her gave me hope to hold on. How could I... Everything felt clear, why he felt the feeling of emptiness after that incident.

As he cried, all the pain he held back for so long, slowly healed. It was like a burden that had been weighing him down just vanished, freeing him. When he finished pouring his heart out, he wiped his tears, and made a decision. To find her, his last blood relative and the only person who might have some answers. He stared up and then the hex continued:

[Your mark is ready to be imprinted]

[Imprint shall begin]

Night wasn't fazed, he was sure that in all the suffering he had endured built up his tolerance, it couldn't be as bad as what he experienced before , right?.

Warmth slowly built in his chest, at first, it was just comfortable until it spread and increased in intensity. The moment it reached his hands and chest. He screamed. It was like he was being burnt alive, he screamed and his voice was slowly burnt by the heat, when he was about to give up, he held on again. He kept cursing the hex over and over again in his heart. It was painful. Night was put on the brink of committing  more than ten times until the heat stopped. When he thought it was over that was when it became worse. His sweat dried up, he wasn't hot but terribly cold. His body stiffened till he couldn't breathe, he banged his chest over and over, scratched his skin in pain.

When it was finally over, he was left breathing in pain, why was it this painful , then the hex echoed:

[Marks have been imprinted successful]

[Evolution will begin shortly]

I was left staring at the back of my palms, there were two marks, the first was a radiant black sigil, lines forming a weird constellation of lines, it was incomplete. Then the second was a swirling lines which looked like it was heading inside my body. It was clear what it was, shadow's blessings. How did i have two marks, I had never heard something like this from him. Before i could ponder more on it, the hex continued making the fear left from the pain earlier grow.

[Evolution shall begin]

There was no pain, just the faint sound of something breaking echo. Then a slight surge of something, it made my head ache. Along with it, the black flames from before appeared from nowhere making the first mark glow slightly. The flowers as black as night no even darker bloomed. At first it was only one then it bloomed till everywhere was covered in it. I bent down i picked one, it erupted in flames, the hex echoed in a final tone:

[Analysis as ended]

[Appropriate rewards have been given to seeker]

[A scar as been chosen]

[May luck be with you]

Without allowing me to spend not a single second more, I was thrown out. I felt a slight surge of anger fill me whole. As I dissipated, I smiled and whispered as low as I could.

"Thank you".
