Chapter 13: The End of the Journey

The bandits trembled, finding no way out but to fight, as Dhib's features were calm yet terrifying, and no one could approach him.

He stepped forward two paces and raised his head high:
— You humans are nothing but weak insects.

Then Dhib roared with a powerful and terrifying voice, charging his energy with destructive lightning that wreaked havoc around. He then raised his front paw and slammed it onto the ground with force, creating a massive explosion, accompanied by a violent windstorm that destroyed everything nearby.

This made Dazkor channel all his energy to protect his friend and family from the powerful blast, even he was amazed by Dhib's strength:
— If he had used this power against us during the fight, we would have been doomed.

Tsubra's gaze at Dazkor was shocked:
— It seems we need to run quickly... before he advances toward us, Dazkor.

But before Dazkor could speak, a shadow hovered around them, and their faces turned pale. Dazkor looked at it in terror.

With sharp eyes, Dhib raised his head with pride and arrogance and said:
— What do you think of my performance, human? Also, this is the first time I defend humans.

Dazkor wiped the sweat from his brow as he looked at Dhib:
— Yes, your performance is impressive, well done... but why did you help us?

Dhib thought deeply, knowing well that his master had asked him not to reveal anything. He tried to give a correct answer and then said:
— It’s because you are my master's father, that’s all there is to it.

Tsubra, his wife, and his daughter were all astonished, for Dazkor was speaking to the terrifying beast, Dhib.

Tsubra slowly tugged Dazkor’s coat to explain what was happening, and Dazkor said to him:
— I’ll explain to you later.

Dhib then transformed again into a wolf, and everyone had gathered together. Dazkor introduced his children to his close friend and was happy to see his friend and his small family.

Then Dazkor explained why the beast Dhib was chasing them and everything that had happened, which made Tsubra scream in surprise at everything his friend and wife had revealed.

He looked at the legendary beast in its wolf form and said:
— This means your son is a rare talent, and undoubtedly has hidden potential... he may become one of the greatest human legends.

— To have Dhib submit to your son Zokaro... this has never happened. He is the beast everyone is trying to find a way to control.

Dazkor: — But it’s best that no one knows about this... you know the reason and my relationship with the king.

Tsubra, reassuringly: — The king has passed away, and now his son rules the kingdom... he is trying to develop its strength and protect his people, to deter other kingdoms' powers.

Dazkor, sternly: — But if anyone knows that Dhib is under my son’s control, it will pose a danger to him, so I’d rather not make my son a target.

Then Rinma interrupted them, holding her son in her arms:
— Also, even if he were forced to submit, Dhib declared that anyone who stands in his way will be destroyed.

Silence fell, and everyone looked at one another, realizing that the terrifying beast accompanying them would spare no one, and had no rival.

Then Tsubra stood up:
— Let’s prepare to continue our journey, but all the soldiers are injured.

Dazkor looked at Dhib:
— Please, Dhib, can you heal them as you did with us?

Dhib looked at them but said nothing, because Zokaro had asked him to do so before his father. He then charged his translucent blue energy and healed all their injuries.

After a few moments, the army awoke, astonished, and Tsubra instructed them to continue the journey, with no need to know what had happened. Everyone boarded the carriage, with Dhib behind them, heading toward the Reba Kingdom.

What awaits Zokaro, Dhib, and his family in the Reba Kingdom?

The world ended the moment his story became real.
Zokaro was a failed novelist who poured his life into a world no one cared to read.
After finishing his story, he believed everything was finally over.
Then the world collapsed.
When he opened his eyes again, he was no longer who he once was—
reborn into the very world he had created, surrounded by familiar faces that were no longer the same.
Monsters he once imagined now roam freely.
Characters he wrote now shape reality.
And the ending he knows is one where no one survives.
Armed with forbidden knowledge, a body that refuses to break,
and a darkness that slowly awakens within him,
Zokaro must decide whether to follow the fate he wrote—
or destroy the world again to rewrite it.
