Hello everyone, Makrota here. This is the first databook. We will see how many more I end up writing. What is the purpose of these databooks? It is simple. Here I will explain some pressing questions that may arise for the reader at this point.

1. The novel is written by a human, by me. I do not use AI to write the plot. I am a student with an extremely busy schedule. The idea of writing a novel had been in my head for a very long time, since I naturally tend to fantasize a lot. At the end of 2024, I finally started working on it. After spending 1.5 years developing the plot, I began trying to write the novel itself. Mistakes in names or terminology are related to long pauses in writing, for which I apologize, but I physically cannot release chapters much more frequently. Right now, I am trying to focus on quality and proper development of my writing rather than speed. This requires many rereads and full immersion, which I currently cannot always afford. However, by the end of this year, I plan to establish a schedule of one chapter per week. An essential part of every chapter is some kind of meaning that can be connected to real life, something from everyday experience, some life lesson that I want to convey through my writing, along with parts of my own thoughts and feelings regarding certain events in the world.

2. !Spoiler! This is not a typical isekai where everything will always be peace and canonically perfect like most of the generic works being released nowadays. Even if the beginning may seem boring, banal, or uninteresting to you, I ask you to wait until around chapter 20. The novel is planned to be 500 to 600 chapters long, each with over 2000+ words, plus a sequel that will reveal everything that was not revealed in this novel. I do not plan to drop it and will write it throughout my life. I will say immediately that the planned sequel will not be connected in any way to the current protagonist or his surroundings. There will be no grandchildren, sons, or similar connections. Returning to the topic. !Spoiler! After a certain event, planned between chapters 40 and 60, the setting of the story will shift into a dark setting. I can assure you in advance, prepare plenty of tissues because character deaths will be unavoidable. I am not going to forgive characters for their mistakes or pull convenient plot devices out of nowhere. I do not include that kind of nonsense typical of default isekai stories. I try to approach everything in a grounded and realistic way. At this point, more than 40 major characters are involved in the plot as part of the main or near-main cast, and their actions directly influence the story right now.

3. The ending remains personally undecided for me. At the moment of writing this message, I have four main endings in mind, and only one of them is a happy ending, and even that one is not entirely happy.

4. At this moment, there are many open scenes. What do I mean by that? For example, who was the man with Mira in the middle of chapter 9, who was the man at the end of chapter 9, how Makoto managed to open his node on his own, who the missing people are, what those lands are, who the adventurers are, and many other questions. These are all open scenes that I use as a tool to intrigue the reader. All of them will be fully revealed in the future.

5. !Spoilers! The power system of this world may initially seem banal or forced, like the typical mana system from other works where the one who knows more spells, casts more, and accumulates more mana is simply stronger. That is not the case here. It is important to understand that at this point the entire narrative is told directly from Makoto’s perspective with rare exceptions. What he tells is not always the truth. It is simply what he believes to be true. If he was lied to, then naturally he will perceive that lie as fact. !Spoiler! Vis is not just something mana-like. It is the particle from which everything originated. I did not state at the very beginning that Vis is everything around us and that Vis exists everywhere without reason. Matter itself, atoms and so on, are also Vis. That means if one learns to control it, a lot becomes possible. The system of Vis essence was inspired by the Thaumcraft 4 mod for Minecraft version 1.7.10 and the concept of world trees from Elden Ring. As banal as that may sound, even if the external inspiration comes from there, I also used photons as a base and combined everything together with my own ideas and thoughts about different structures. That is how the essence of Vis was created. Vis is much more than just an energy unit. !!!Spoiler!!! Vis is a living being.

I understand that this does not tell you much right now, but I want to share a few small facts about what is currently known from Makoto’s perspective.

Note. Races and worldbuilding will be properly revealed by chapter 15. The rest will come later.

1. As of chapter 10, Makoto is 9 years old. The current year is 986 according to the Holy Calendar. He was born on June 10.

2. Rey is 8 years old. He was born on June 11. He is part of the Leonhart family and a commoner.

3. Kuro and Shiro are 4 years old. They are twins born on December 24.

5. There are 5 major religions across the continent.

6. Their continent is not the only one.
