The Whispering Woods

The Whispering Woods

Feb 18, 2026

Let me tell you a story. A story where one single act of hope changed the whole world.

                                         WELCOME TO (ZERO FRAME)

Episode 1  I — The Whispering Woods Scene 1

"power" is essentially a manifestation of a character’s inner potential, often tied to their personality, experiences, or genetic modifications. Powers can be physical, elemental, mental, or hybrid, and each has unique effects. Some key rules:

Activation – Powers are usually triggered by intense emotion, willpower, or special conditions.

Strength & Leveling – A power can grow stronger with experience or emotional triggers.

Limitation – Each power has natural limits unless the user has special traits that allow them to bypass them.

In this universe, a person can have more than one power. This works because powers are distinct channels of energy or ability, meaning they can coexist if:

The body/brain can handle it – Some characters have enhanced physiology or training to wield multiple powers without fatigue.

Powers complement each other – Some powers can be combined, like fire + wind, to create new effects.

Mental control – Characters with strong focus can manage multiple powers without them interfering with each other.

[EXT. TAKASHIMA ACADEMY – LATE AFTERNOON | AUTUMN]

WEATHER: Cold November wind, dry leaves skittering across concrete

COLOR PALETTE: Muted purples, dull oranges, fading daylight

MUSIC: Low, melancholic piano with distant strings (sad / uneasy)

WIDE SHOT:

The academy grounds stretch out under a bruised-purple sky. Streetlights flicker on one by one. Beyond the sidewalk—houses, a quiet parking lot, and the dark edge of the forest.

Characters

liam 16 black mixed with black hair mixed with blue hair and black eyes white skin

Tyler 16  light brown messy hair brown eyes tan skin color

Luke 16  black curly hair black eyes mixed skin color

SOUND:

Wind whistling • distant cars • leaves scraping pavement

CLOSE-UP – LIAM’S FACE

His breath fogs the air. His hair is messy, gel barely holding it together.

INSERT SHOT – PHONE SCREEN

“No new messages.”

LIAM (V.O.)

The biting November air cut straight through me. They were supposed to be here hours ago.

MEDIUM SHOT – THE THREE BOYS

LUKE kicks a pebble into the road.

LUKE

Seriously, what’s taking them? I’m starving.

LIAM

I don’t know… work probably got them stuck. You know how it is.

TYLER

Can’t we just ask Sophia for a ride?

SMASH CUT – LIAM & LUKE (IN SYNC)

LIAM & LUKE

NO.

TYLER

Why not?

LIAM

You have a massive crush on her. That’s reason one.

LUKE

And reason two—her dad’s a professional MMA fighter.

TYLER

Worth it.

CAMERA – LOW ANGLE ON TYLER (grinning)

TYLER

Also… Liam’s freezing, Luke’s hungry, and I’m not getting kidnapped by a teacher—

(beat)

—especially before we unlock our powers.

LUKE

First of all, Liam’s a twig. No jacket, sweatpants, busted sweater—

(smirks)

—you look homeless.

LIAM

Hey! I was studying all night. And it’s hair gel.

(glances at Luke)

Shouldn’t you be at football practice?

LUKE

Skipped. Didn’t feel it today.

MUSIC FADES SLIGHTLY

TYLER (POINTING)

Shortcut through the woods.

CLOSE-UP – LIAM’S EYES

A flicker of fear.

LIAM (quiet)

The forest…

LIAM (sighs)

Fine. But we stick together.

FINAL SHOT – LIAM LOOKS AT HIS PHONE ONE LAST TIME

FADE TO BLACK

Scene 2

[EXT. WHISPERING WOODS – CONTINUOUS]

WEATHER: Wind dies down unnaturally

MUSIC: Ambient drone, faint whisper-like synth

WIDE SHOT:

The boys step beneath the trees. The school disappears behind them.

SOUND:

Footsteps on wet leaves • branches snapping • distant birds

LIAM (V.O.)

The deeper we went, the quieter it became. Like the forest was holding its breath.

HANDHELD CAMERA:

Branches scrape jackets. Shadows twist unnaturally as they move.

TYLER

Almost through!

Scene 3 — The Clearing

SUDDEN SILENCE

WIDE SHOT:

A clearing opens up.

In the center: A CABIN—old, crooked, forgotten.

LIGHTING:

Soft golden rays cut through trees. Dust floats in the air.

SOUND:

Wood CREAKS.

TYLER (grinning, uneasy excitement)

Ooo… spooky cabin.

SLOW ZOOM – CABIN WINDOWS

Pitch black.

TYLER

Maybe we should—

LIAM

No.

CUT – TYLER WALKING ANYWAY

CUT – LUKE HESITATES

CUT – LIAM (resigned)

He follows.

Scene 4

[INT. CABIN – NIGHT]

MUSIC: Low crackling + heartbeat-like bass

VISUALS:

Fire burning. Warm. Lived-in.

LIAM (hushed)

Guys… someone still lives here.

CLOSE-UP – LIAM’S EYES

Fear sharpens.

LIAM (whisper)

They’re still here.

Corners • shadows • walls

In this world, power is not something learned—it is something revealed.

Power is the manifestation of a person’s inner potential, shaped by personality, trauma, will, and bloodline. Some awaken physical strength, others elemental forces, heightened senses, or hybrid abilities. Each power grows through emotion and experience, but all have limits—limits that can break the body, fracture the mind, or erase what makes someone human.

Sixteen-year-olds Liam, Tyler, and Luke live ordinary lives—until a shortcut through the woods leads them to a forgotten cabin and a man they thought was a legend.

Charlie, once known as Justice, is not a monster—but a survivor. He carries a rare Multi-Core Power, a legacy ability that can manifest as speed, strength, awareness, and control. Instead of weapons, he offers the boys inheritance—power passed through blood, at the cost of never being normal again.

When the transfer is complete, their lives change forever.

Liam gains unstable speed that bends space itself.
Tyler awakens overwhelming physical force tied to the ground beneath him.
Luke develops heightened perception—able to sense danger before it strikes.

As they train in secret, learning restraint instead of dominance, the truth becomes clear: others like Charlie exist—and not all of them are heroes. Some gave their power to the wrong people. Some became the threat they were meant to stop.

Now the boys must learn to live normal lives while carrying something very not normal—because power doesn’t make you special.

It reveals who you already are.
